Fantastically located for our family stay in the Cotswolds. Our room was very clean and well presented. Nice large room and huge bathroom. Could have done with supplying hair/body wash but only a minor inconvenience.
Would certainly recommend to others.
Breakfast was Amazing and went out of the way to accommodate our daughters
Had a good evening once sorted out that kitchen was shut on Sundays which is on their website but it wasn’t on the booking site we went through, then we didn’t get two separate beds which we booked instead we got a double.
Other than that we had a good time talking to the owner and their mum
I was very pleasantly surprised by this accommodation. Cold Aston is a quintessential beautiful English village. The Inn was very nicely presented. The staff extremely helpful and pleasant. Dining options were limited, focusing mainly on the locally produced beef but all options were of high quality. The bedroom although small was cleverly designed. The bed was a super king size and very comfortable. The ensuite offered a nice powerful shower and pleasant bathroom suite. Would definitely recommend.

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
The location is inside a village with a scenic drive to get there. Decent facilities and amenities in the room. There is no parking as advertised and we had to park on the street. There was no housekeeping to clean and replace towels during our 2 day stay.
Stayed for 1 night with my Mum as we were visiting the Cotswolds. Was advertised with parking; but no off street parking was available. When we arrived, were greeted by a friendly lady, shown up to the room. The room was unsatisfactory - thick layer of mould all over the windows, walls & shower, dirty kettle, dust (thick & black) all over the room, dirty floor & walls, bowel motions in the toilet brush.
We spoke to the lady who greeted us to which she apologised as was not aware of the above issues & arranged for us to move rooms.
The new room was an upgrade from what we had booked and was of a completely different standard - although there was mould in the windows, the overall cleanliness was of a high standard, tea & coffee facilities, large TV, comfy bed (had a brilliant nights sleep), room was warm & cosy. Only down side was that were was only 1 mirror in the bathroom, so no mirror in the bedroom to use when getting ready (ie when using compliances).
We booked an evening meal which was superb; both agreed it was one of the best burgers we had had. Massive compliments to the chef. The general manager apologised for the room & we were given a free dessert; he was polite and nothing was too much trouble.
The breakfast was also delicious (full English breakfast) and the lady who had greeted us the day before was pleasant & friendly.
So overall, once we had moved rooms, it was a brilliant stay, the staff resolved the issues promptly & efficiently👍
The B&B is in the middle of nowhere so you've got to have a car to get food. No restaurants or bars. The room itself was nice.

The Plough Bed & Breakfast is listed as having a bar / lounge and presents as a working pub but this isn’t true. On arrival, the pub was completely shut and not accessible to guests. It’s in the middle of nowhere, so there’s nowhere nearby for food or drink without driving to another town.
We booked specifically because we believed we were staying at a working pub, which was a key part of the experience we wanted. Had this been made clear, we would have booked elsewhere. Very disappointing trip.
Love this hotel. Tucked away in a quiet, friendly village. The owner and all the staff are friendly and helpful. The room was Chen’s and the bed was so comfortable. They serve lovely food in the evening and the cooked breakfast is spot on. Would highly recommend.
It was a typical English pub which did not disappoint. The staff was helpful and very friendly. We were in a pickle due to misplaced luggage and they went out of their way to help us correct the problem. The food was fine and the ambiance of the old building was wonderful.
Truly gorgeous inn situated in a small town in the middle of the Cotwolds. The rooms are beautiful and the pub below has incredible food. The breakfast was a full English and tasted amazing. There are public footpaths a minute from the place with beautiful views of the countryside. The staff are very kind. Cannot recommend this place enough.
Old world small hotel. Food excellent. Friendly helpful staff. Parking on village street only a few steps from front door. Our room was small but very comfortable except for the low oak beam over my side of the double bed which I found myself bumping into fairly regularly. I suspect people must have been much smaller centuries ago!
Hotel is only couple of miles from the very picturesque Bourton which is a tourist magnet.
We have loved our stay at the Plough Inn. It’s perfect if you are looking for a countryside, romantic getaway just for you two. Car parking isn’t totally clear and we ended up in a bedroom with two beds pushed together which isn’t totally comfortable, but the actual room more than made up for it.
The service at the Plough Inn is beyond impeccable. Everyone was polite, friendly and more than helpful and cannot be faulted. We lay in bed in the morning and listened to the birds - it was heavenly.
This is a genuine olde worlde inn with a roaring log fire in the bar. We only stayed for one night but would have happily stayed for longer. Great communications with the owner/manager. Dinner was excellent and a substantial breakfast of your choice.
