A pretty cottage with pool and lovely garden in a village close to sea .

The cottage has everything any one could need for a holiday . Set in our lovely garden which we have shared with our visitors for the last 15 years we have prided ourselves in helping our guests to discover our beautiful region . Ideal for people who are looking for a relaxing time in unspoilt countryside, whether walking, cycling, birdwatching, discovering the history, visiting the markets, enjoying the miles of glorious beaches or simply pottering. The local food and wine is exceptional and there are good restaurants, bars and cafes not far away - including a pop-up one in summer alongside the beautiful village-side creek down the hill from where we live.

We created the cottage from an old stone-built farm building across the garden from the main house. It retains all the old world charm you'd hope for, combined with every modern amenity. It's private...right next to the pool...and has its own secluded garden area.

The ground-floor is floored with local stone and terracotta tiles and upstairs the beamed double bedroom leads onto a twin bedded room, perfect for a young family. We discourage children over 10 or so because of the nature of the cottage and garden

There are many beautiful walks and cycling tracks nearby . A fantastic variety of birds and animals to spot . The nearby white sandy beaches are surveyed throughout the summer and many are surrounded by pine forest and have excellent restaurants. Meschers-sur-Gironde, St George de Didonne , Royan , St Palais to name but a few of the seaside towns with excellent beaches.

There is surfing, kayaking and sea fishing available nearby plus trips around the coast and out to the Phare de Cordouan.

Talmont one of the most beautiful villages in France is a few kilometres away as is the beautiful port of Mortagne sur Gironde
