The room was exceedingly nice!! The location is good too, because it is very quiet and is walking distance to the lake. The Inn supplies Kayaks at no charge and we took advantage of that! Claire manages the Inn and is very personable, plus it seems she is always available (Thanks Claire!).
The property is well cared for. The Browning suite was lovely. Comforts of home kinds of furnishings and very clean. They are also pet friendly there. Just be sure to talk to Clare so they can help you arrange for pet care.
Disappointed that breakfast was not offered. Local restaurants served lunch and dinner only. Property is easy to locate and a lovely couple run the Inn, but it is in need of updates. We had beautiful weather and the leaves were just starting to change.
A mix of elegant and eclectic, the Inn does not disappoint. Morning breakfast is delicious and the giant tub and beautiful views all make this a beautiful place to stay either for a special occasion or just because you want to see the birds and the trees.

Get Away
This place was very nice and the rooms were great. The website makes it out to be more than what it is and you are not told only certain things are available during the off season. I felt like the rooms could have been cleaned more and when you?re away and they come into clean don?t expect anything of your stuff to be left alone. They throw stuff out without even knowing if it something you need or paid money for. It is in the mountains so you have to drive a good bit to actually do something. Our stay was relaxing and nice however it?s not what we expected and I don?t think you should mess with other people?s things.
The staff was excellent and friendly. Hospitality hours provide an opportunity to meet other guests. Except for the hour long cruise, there are no other activities on site. Be prepared to drive to off-site locations for hiking, etc. Our room was dated and had a loud widow mounted air condition unit.
First timers here... Spent two nights at Innisfree B&B (July 2017) and we were bowled over by Henry and Clare's friendly hospitality and charming personalities. Rooms/apartments were well-maintained and charming as well, compact but with open floor plans that avoided the cramped feeling some B&B's have. Our unit, located on one side of the guest cottage, was all on one floor, but the hillside location made it possible to have a ground floor entry and a 2nd floor balcony. The spectacular view overlooked a charming wooded area, with the horizon ringed with the mountains surrounding Lake Glenville (although views of the lake itself were hidden by the treeline). Our activities included exploring the property, hiking a local nature trail and renting a pontoon boat on Lake Glenville. Dinner at Mica's (family-style) Restaurant and the (more expensive) Orchard, both well worth the trip with varied choices well-prepared food. Overall, perhaps our best short-hop vacation experience ever. Will go back!
It was lovely. Just a little disappointed we weren't staying in the only building they show in their ads. The staff was wonderful. The area gorgeous. Just what we needed!
Beautiful surprise in the North Carolina mountains
Very beautiful place in the mountains with a bit of a view of the lake. The breakfasts were wonderful. The hotel staff was excellent. We took advantage of the champagne cruise, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great place for a bed and breakfast. We look forward to going again -- maybe late spring or early summer when the rhododendrons are blooming and the waterfalls are running with more water.
