"Dan was a great host. Very friendly and attentive. He made us a delicious breakfast each day. We enjoyed our stay and visit with Dan and his dog Rosie. The parking was safe and convenient and we could walk to a great restaurant near by. "

"Pros: It's an interesting place with lots of World Fair lore. We didn't stay there for this reason but may interest others. Location is good for that area of St. Louis and isn't far from great attractions. Tony is responsive and seemed interested in making sure our stay was comfortable.Cons: Could use a little additional cleaning with some dust collecting in places. I sent a list of small maintenance items which hopefully will get worked on. If both these things get done, it will be a really great place. There is a very strict schedule on the air system. The first couple days were cold and the heater was on way too high. I turned the heat down but it reset back to the schedule every couple hours which made sleeping a chore.CYA: Take note of any damaged or broken items. Cleaner claimed I broke something which was not the ending to a decent trip I wanted to deal with."

"We loved the convenience of having a kitchen while traveling. However, there was only 2 towels and 2 washcloths for a 3 day stay. No washer/dryer to be found. It wasn’t a make or break for us, but would have been nice to wash my boyfriends clothes before he left. I also noticed there weren’t any instructions on how to leave the apartment. We left the towels and such in the bathroom and stripped the bed and took trash out unsure of what was expected. "

"We have only had one bad experience renting through another service and it was in St Louis. So we were a little nervous with this booking through VrBo. We hadn't got a code to get in by the time we arrived which is how tge bad experience started so we got more nervous how this was going to go. I called the contact ifno she was very nice and apologized and sent it right away. The olace was secure and clean. It has steep stairs going to the door, then normal steps going to the second floor where apartment is. Very clean and nice looking place. Negatives were the toilet seat was loose. The bedroom tv took some figuring out and we had to use our own power cable to power the roku but we got it figured out. A couple lights in bathrooms would flicker. Nothing horrible. The restaurant below it was good as well so you can just walk down and get some Cajun food. Its sort of away from anything ( I mean that in a positive sense) but easy to get anywhere you want to go. Historical neighborhood within walking distance. Definitely would stay again if it's avaliable when we go back. Host was very accommodating when we had something come up to change who was staying one for the tournament we were in town for. They responded to questions quickly before and during booking. "

"The house was great. Beds comfortable. Enjoyed coffee in the morning on the deck. Parking easy. Matei was quick with the communication and i appreciated the neighborhood recommendations. I second his suggestion of going to the Saturn Lounge! "

"Enjoyed the location and home quite immensely! I was disappointed that the parking given with the check in instructions were to either park in a dispensary's parking lot or the street. I did ask about the garage from the pictures and was told it was ok to use - however there is no external way to open it and kept falling off the rails (or got stuck on the rails) when opened internally. No problems were had with the parking, it just seemed awkward to be in a business lot. The home itself was nice and clean.The ac/heating units were confusing to operate and thankfully our stay was during mild weather. Maybe some instructions could be added to help future guests, because I definitely saw a similar comment in the reviews prior to cooking. I also noticed a lack of extra blankets because of this like the kind that go on couches or chairs.The bathroom in the king bedroom is quite narrow, so for any larger bodied individuals - this could cause troubles. The bathroom in the hallway has shower handles mislabled and was quite a shock to learn accidentally! The bathroom off the kitchen has a higher mirror, making getting ready a challenge for those under 5'4. The gaming room in the basement is very bright and welcoming. The air hockey table unfortunately had no paddles and the shuffleboard table was missing a few things too, making neither usable.Overall, I would stay again, but I wanted to share a few oddities that may help the next potential visitor(s)!"
