  • My dad's friend owns a really cool karting circuit in Pageas, a few kilometres from Chalus where I grew up in France. They are both hunters. I know this is not everyone's cup of tea, but a lot of people from that generation in rural France do like hunting, fishing, fetching mushrooms. There are woodlands all around the karting circuit. My dad and his friend have built some platforms in the trees, and from mid-October to mid-November they go there every morning to shoot migrating birds. Those ones are some sort of wood pigeons going from Eastern Europe / Russia to North Africa. I did my own shooting that morning... with my camera! The sunrise was spectacular with some nice pink colours and mist in the valley.

A relaxing and peaceful retreat, if you're looking to get away from it all, this is the place for you. Ron, is an attentive but respectful host, full of local knowledge. The Gite is well equipped with everything you need, and there are several supermarkets within a 10 minute drive. Lots to do and see in the local vicinity, swimming, walking, restaurants, pubs and plenty of fresh air.

Idéal pour un séjour reposant

Très beau gite au calme, proche des sentiers de randonnées. A portée de voiture de lieux historiques à visiter. Ron est un hôte discret et attentif. Important pour nous : notre chien a été bien accueilli et a profité du beau jardin. Nous reviendrons. Very nice quiet cottage, close to hiking trails. Within driving distance of historic places to visit. Ron is a discreet and attentive host. Important for us: our dog was welcomed and enjoyed the beautiful garden. We will come back.

Excellent accueil de M Ron Soutar. Gîte très agréable et calme.

Nous étions à la Grue pour le mariage de notre fils à St Mathieu. Ce gîte était tout près. Pour 8 personnes il y a suffisamment de place et le pré est bien pour permettre aux enfants de jouer. Pour nous Français il ne manquait qu'une cafetière électrique ! Les 2 salles de bain sont parfaites. En résumé : notre impression a été vraiment favorable.
