There were 5 of us and 2 dogs and we had plenty of space to spread out play board, games, cook, and just relax, was great overall, sad to be back home. “My husband and I didn’t think there were any more old-fashioned “tourist cabins” left along America’s secondary highways. They were ubiquitous in the 1940’s and 50’s. We were happy to find this immaculate, comfortable cabin enclave near the Beacon-Newburgh Bridge in Orange County and enjoyed our short stay. The family who started the business - in the 1920’s! - is featured along with framed archival postcards on the walls, reminding us that this business is a rare survivor of the kinds of……

“The unit was well maintained. took a couple tries to find due to being off the main road and down a hill. Getting ahold of the manager was a difficult do to going thru vrbo email and not a standard email. overall the stay was nice.”

“We booked an extended weekend with a couple of families. Both the adults and kids had an amazing time. The kids enjoyed the movie theater room. The adults enjoyed darts, pool table, bar, and hot tub. The home was very clean. It also had everything we could possibly need such was towels, cookware, paper products, soaps and shampoos. We honestly didn't want to leave and plan to return. The pictures of the home definitely does not do full justice on how beautiful it really is.”

“Great relaxing place close enough to everything. Angry orchard close and fun spot, took train into city twice and that was an easy trip. Cabin was great place to “come home to” after a busy day. Would definitely stay here again.”

“We stayed for almost a week during the peak of Autumn and immersed ourselves into the change of vibrant color each and every day. The attic was unbelievably cozy to take a nap and shower system was clean and neat. The kitchen was very nicely organized so everything was in place and we fully enjoyed cooking there too. Every single detail was exactly the way it was depicted in the photos. The most spectacular thing was the morning view over the balcony in the morning and the night view around……

“Comfortable apartment with a phenomenal view! The space could use a deep clean and some decluttering, but that view!!! Did I mention that the view was A-mazing?!?”

“This is a cozy property in a very rural setting. The host is extremely responsive and very thorough. It is quiet and private. The furniture and bed are very comfortable. The wood burning stove is a pellet stove which provides enough heat to take the edge off. The hot tub could comfortably fit 4 people. The Village of Cold Spring is less than 10 minutes away, as is the Interstate 84 bridge across the Hudson. If you want to make your own food, bring it. There is no grocery store nearby.”
