Amazing apartment, only thing missing was tea towel and hand towels. Couple more pillows for sofa bed we had to use cousons from sofa but managed. Great location for city centre , bars and restaurants. Used car park under premier inn across the road .

Great little room

We stayed for two nights in a small double room which had everything we needed including kettle and free tea/coffee. The shower was big and powerful and the room comfortable, perfect for a couple of nights.

Amazing value for money

Really lovely stay and great value for money if you are on a budget. The small double room is definitely small lol but it’s cosy and is perfect for 1/2 nights away. The noise from the pub really isn’t bad so don’t be put off and it’s actually a really nice pub with lots of interesting beers. Great location too.

Very convenient location. Close to station and right in the canal, with a short walk to centre of Chester. Place was not amazing for a quiet stay, but you know this when booking. My room was super small, double bed but no room for a case - fine for solo traveller or lightly packed couple. Would not be comfortable for an extended stay.

The property is just a few minutes walk from Chester station and about 10 minutes from the city centre. We stayed in a small double en-suite room which was functional and had some nice extras such as tea and coffee, shampoo and shower gel and an ironing board with iron. I did need to contact the property to provide ID - they’d sent instructions via Expedia but there was no way for me to send a photo of my ID to them. However once I contacted them, this was resolved quickly and easily. The room was good value, quiet and comfortable, and was just what we needed for an overnight stay in Chester.

Overall I was disappointed with Base Serviced Apartments. Location was great but after that I would rate everything else, apart from cleanliness, as below average and expectations. Access was tricky; there is no proper handle, on the outer door, and the drop box system was trickier than others I have encountered. The heating did not work. The room, itself, was tiny with old fashioned windows so allowing noise 8n and heat out. All in all I would not recommend. The stairs were very steep.

Cheap accommodation close city centre

That was a good price for an accommodation so close main street in Chester. I've got an instruction how to enter , password to WiFi and all important information. It was clear how to check in and check out. Room was tiny but I knew it before I booked and that was just for sleep anyway. Apartment was very short walking distance to city centre and main street as well very close nice and big park. Like I mentioned, the price was appropriate to this what we've got. I've got just two suggestions. I'm short (155cm height), if not my partner, I will not manage to reach the switches to ventilators which are located over the toilet's door , just under celling. Why they are in that place? In toilet is no place at all to put toothpaste, cream, face wash or anything like that. Why not put a small shelf over there? It will cost just few pounds and will be so beneficial. That's all what I will say. I was happy with my choice. I couldn't get anything better in that price.
