It appears that nobody has stayed here for quite a while. The last review is one year ago, something like that. When we got there, we noticed that only one air conditioner worked out of four. When one is on the Mexican Coast close to Belize, air-conditioning is a must. Then we noticed the refrigerator portion of the refrigerator didn’t cool down sufficiently to 37. It was maybe at 60-65 degrees at best. What were we going to do with our food? We had to go get an ice chest and buy ice. When we went to like the stove, we noticed a gas lighter on a tile on top of the stove. When we click the lighter and click it more, and more, and more, it would not light. So it could not cook. In the owners instructions he said he had a backup generator. Not really. The house needs somewhere between 25 and 50,000 worth of work on it to include new refrigerators on the second floor apartment also. That refrigerated didn’t work either. It needs new air conditioners everywhere. The man apparently has no idea what’s going on with his property. The property manager, a displaced Cuban, also has no idea what’s going on with the property. We stayed around the corner at Hotel Congrejo. The room was beautiful and the food wonderful. It’s been about five days since we left the so-called White House, and I’ve received no word on a refund yet. More incompetence.
