Beautiful Creek
This place is exactly what it promises: available host when needed with a good sense of humor, downtown Chico very close, but the best is the access (behind the house!) to Chico Creek with walk and bike way for miles. Nice neighborhood and nice people all around! We will definitely stay here again when and if we return!

Worth It
This small home is near the park, but also near a noisy highway. The traffic did not bother us too much, but I was surprised by it. The batteries were low in the remote control for the TV, and several light bulbs were burned out. It was easy to communicate with the owner, but it would be nice for those kinds of things to be checked ahead of time. Chico is a lovely, friendly city and staying here was affordable and convenient. Even our dogs were allowed, and there is a little yard in the back.

Sorry about our bad review. As we have been fully booked for almost 3 months, it is hard to sneak in and check everything out in a 2 hour window. We have people actually take batteries, dishes and blankets all the time which our cleaning crew catches or replaces. Strange the missed light bulbs as I think we only have one in the home and disengaged the back patio as to not encourage late night hang outs. Sorry again.

Lovely home
We had a wonderful stay at this perfectly located property. Right next to Bidwell park walking trail and river-easy in and out with driveway! Close to Chico State where we visited for family weekend-we will stay again!!!

3rd times a charm
This was our 2nd stay in this property and it once again didn’t disappoint. Charming, clean, cozy, comfortable, excellent location, close to everything including the freeway which you cannot really hear from this rental. The communication with the owner was effortless and prompt … once again, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. See ya next year and know that the 3rd time will be a charm too.

Very convenient location. Everything you need, nothing you don't.
All the essentials are covered. Perfect for a business trip, or a short visit. Not exactly a vacation rental. The shower is pretty small and the bed is super creaky! Would be nice if there was a washer/drier, but this is why this place is perfect for a short visit. It has everything you need, without all the little extras that ultimately just add up to a more expensive room.

Guest house gem steps from Bidwell Park
This rental has everthing you need for a comfortable stay and goes beyond. The rental is stocked with items that you may need (spices, shampoo...) yet you may not find in other rentals. Location is close to downtown Chico and steps from the beautiful Lower Bidwell Park bike/walk paved trail. Sharing that coffee in the am is a french press (and coffee grinder) (in case you're like me and want to be prepared for your am caffeine needs). I would stay here again on my next visit to Chico.

Great location near Bidwell Park and not far from downtown and Chico State. Had everything you need for a nice stay. Owners were very accommodating.

Everything you need, nothing you don't
I had to stay in Chico a week for business. This was way better than a hotel room - no checking in, parking pass, elevators, annoying staff, maids etc. This place had all the amenities that a hotel room would have plus a kitchen in case you want to make something. The owners even left me a bottle of red wine (nice touch). I have to come to Chico on average about once per quarter. I think I have found my regular spot.

Nice getaway
It had everything we needed for our stay.It was our first time renting. We usually stay in a hotel. I had to bring our Dog with us. We loved the trail behind the house. It was one of the prettiest trails I have ever experienced.

Great 2 Day Stay at this Cozy Cottage
My wife and I plus our 20 pound pooch had a very relaxing 2 day stay. Everything was pretty much as good as as advertised. Great communication by the host. If there is anything on the negative side it would be the size of the shower which despite being a tight fit was manageable for me (6ft, 220lbs), but I fear anyone bigger than me would likely have some issues.

We enjoyed this property: spacious, pleasantly decorated, comfortable, up to date, variety of kitchen appliances, dishes, alarm clock, flashlights, hair dryer. Location was convenient for visiting family members, shopping, getting downtown, going to church, visiting the park. Owners were available by text and phone.

Excellent property, clean, small, and perfect.
The property felt safe, well stocked, and perfect location to the walking path, access to all that we needed. Wifi was a bit sketchy at times when two of us used it at the same time. I came for a work/personal visit. The work portion needed strong wifi. It was satisfactory.... and the owner was absolutely wonderful to work with. I will be back for sure.

Would have loved to bike ride in Bidwell Park directly behind the property but due to the air quality (Dixies fire) we were unable to do so. The property truly beats staying in a hotel. Thank you for the nice welcome bottle of wine.

Cozy cottage next to Bidwell Park
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cozy cottage next to Bidwell Park. It is a small apartment but perfect for two. It was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. You can’t beat the accessibility to Bidwell Park as it is right behind the Cottage! It was wonderful not having to get into her car and be able to go for walks and bike rides write out our front door!

Quiet, comfortable, convenient
Very nice cottage like place. Conveniently located to a grocery store and others as well. I felt very comfortable and safe. Although it is relatively close to the highway I was not bothered by noise from vehicles. The bottle of wine was very welcoming. I would stay here again.

Such a tasteful little cottage!
I ended up double-booked because of scheduling conflicts but I was able to walk through this vrbo and absolutely adore it! The location is great. Access to the freeway is close by; but it's tucked away in a peaceful neighborhood. The interior was clean, the design was stylish, and uncluttered, and the private driveway is a huge bonus. The host was gracious and communicative. 5/5, I will be booking again!

Much better than a hotel
After driving 9 hours, it was a relief to arrive. It's quiet even though it's near the highway. Bidwell Park is beautiful and is next to the place. Pick up some coffee for the french press and groceries if you're staying awhile. Otherwise, there are plenty of places to eat and drink.

Great Location Next to Park
Overall a cute place really well positioned for access to Bidwell park, which is super good if you have a dog as we did. It was clean and ready earlier than expected. The pictures may need to be updated to better reflect what is available: we didn’t bring our Bluetooth speaker because it showed one, but it was not there, and we assumed when seeing the coffee container that coffee was going to be supplied, but it was not. Careful in the shower as the handle gives you very hot or very cold (maybe replace it?), and maybe check the batteries in the remote more frequently. Little issues, but they can add up. Got the wrong text information for the wrong place (they have two), but it got resolved after a few more texts. Still, we do recommend this place with the few caveats mentioned.
