“This place was a great home base for activities in Pagosa, Durango, and the surrounding areas. The only missing amenity would have been a hot tub, this could really put this place over the top. As others mentioned, noise from floors above is loud, but that is part of staying in a log cabin. We got used to it by the second night and the fandeliers in the rooms help with the noise and comfort.”

“Our group of eight (4 adults and 4 teens) and two dogs stayed at the house in January. It was a very comfortable house with a well stocked kitchen and a great location. It was an easy drive into town and a reasonable drive up to Wolf Creek. There are beautiful views and lots of comfortable places to hang out and play board games. I would definitely come back!!”

“We had a picture perfect Christmas in the most quaint but roomy cabin. Sayra was a very responsive and informative host always answering my questions. “My partner and I stayed here with our dog and had an amazing time exploring the property, going down to the river, and hanging with Richie, the dog that lives on the property! I think Richie deserves a special shout-out… he led us to the river, hung out with us on the porch, and was just the cutest and most incredible little adventure buddy. For any rockhounds out there, this is the perfect place to find agates and chalcedony… either down on the San Juan river or 20 minutes over at Wolf Creek……

“We had such a lovely time in the Red Ryder Cabin. It was the perfect size for two teens and two adults. The location was great for heading up to Wolf Creek each day, and close enough to Pagosa Springs for last-minute grocery (or internet access) runs. “The property was very nice and overall our stay was good. One problem is that the neighborhood was affected by a water main issue that lasted for a day. However, it appears the issue happened once before as well. I understand the water supply is out of the property management's control and the manager did organize the ability for us to use another rental's bathroom. But I would have expected a credit or some refund offered for our trouble, especially given the cost of the rental.”

“First of all the adobe is historical and old! But redone in an extremely tasteful way! Exposed beams and a fireplace. We sat outside after 10pm and the star gazing could not be beat! We saw a shooting star and then we heard coyotes sound off - the whole mountain experience came together. In the morning it was coffee on the patio and we watched elk. We could hear the cows and saw the horses from the working ranch around us. All in all, a wonderful time!! Thank you so much!!”
