"The hotel was in the perfect location to the highway and to other small towns in the area. There was a wide variety of foods for breakfast. The room was clean and spacious. We could have used a chair in the room rather than have to sit on the beds. The air conditioning was perfect!! We enjoyed our stay."

Grand Hotel Le Rocce

"This hotel is secluded high class location in Gaeta. A gem. Charming rooms all overlooking the ocean with a balcony . The private beach is sandy and the sea was crystal clear with no waves. You can walk in the water for distances. Sunlight all day. All restaurants have beach view. The breakfast was included with incredible variety: berries and maple syrup on our stay. The dinner menu was upper class Italian cuisine. It included a variety of fresh fish, pastas and meat. Please note that there are stone steps to get to the beach and around the complex. We counted 240 steps down from our room. The steps are stone and wide with rest areas. Includes an outdoor pool area with a restaurant bar on top. The vegetation is luscious and do bring bug spray if you attract mosquitoes( I suggest the hotel have this available for guests). Getting around is either by car or taxi expect to pay 35-45Euros one way. TV in our room had Netflix, YouTube so you can login to your account."

"Likes: . Very close to a fantastic beach as well as half hour walk to the old town. . A lot to see near the hotel. Dislikes: . Pool was closed as of September, but this is not communicated when booking. One of the reasons i went there was the pool they have and advertised. Not sure why pool was closed if A/C is still running. . Shower temperature fluctuations were extreme. Water would get very hot then very cold. . No draft beer or good tequila in the bar. Bar man did not seem to have much knowledge of drinks. I know it is a wine country, but the availability should be there."

"Reasonable price, clean room, great staff, but AC wasn’t great. Location was also great. I would recommend for sure, but not when it’s hot. Locals were very friendly."

"Old-school service in the restaurant, helpful staff, especially the women at breakfast. Good parking options and free, as it should be. Big comfortable room."

Grand Hotel La Playa

"While our room was very clean, it did have old mold on the shower. This hotel is older, but it probably used to be very grand. One of the things we loved was that it included our own reserved umbrella and beach lounges. It also had a balcony with a beautiful sunset view over the sea. We couldn't get really excited about the breakfast, either, but it was definitely adequate. The small town was quiet and sleepy, not a party place. It was very reasonably priced and a good value."

"Everything was good , quick tip walking shoes a must lots of uphills . If you need a cab to go early in the morning to the airport or the train station, very important to arrange the taxi service the night before with the front desk."

"Breakfast was the same everyday. The first night we arrived we asked front desk for recommendations on a restaurant for dinner and they told us they have dinner menu at the hotel. We had dinner and we were very disappointed with our food. They had a set menu. They had a buffet station with salads and fruit. You were able to choose one of 2 pastas and one of 2 entrees. Me and my husband had a combination of the food so we can try the different foods. Both pastas were barely room temperature Fish was dry and cold seemed like it sat out for a while before serving. Meat was room temperature and tough. Did not enjoy this at all! Beach umbrellas and 2 chairs were 30 euros where the beach right next door was 15 euros and another one was 20 euros. We stayed at beaches next door! They were great and had a restaurant as well that was very good. Why spend extra money?? Overall experience was ok"
