“We wanted a house that comfortably accommodated all of us and it certainly lived up to expectations. It was cosy and comfortable. It was equipped well with everything we needed for our stay. The position of the house on the lake was perfect for guests who love to fish or boat on the lake. The hot tub was wonderful as well. The swimming pools were clean and well maintained. Having a booking system meant that we were able to get a slot on every day we wanted one. Plus the tennis and multi……

“This is my second time in one of Orion Holidays properties. I visited with my son and three very young grandchildren. I love the views from the houses overlooking a pond or lake where there is lots of wildlife to observe. I like the green spaces between houses and it was very dog friendly when I brought my dog on the first visit. We had the indoor swimming pool included in our deal but unfortunately it was closed on the first day so we only managed to use it once. We went to the outdoor pool……

“We had a ladies friends weekend away in early Nov. Beautiful cottage with everything you need. Log burner was fab and ability to have extra check out time for a small fee was worth it. Having the added bonus of the spa pass made the weekend extra special. The owners are particularly excellent and quick to respond with any of our questions. All good - highly recommended. We intend to return.”

“We really enjoyed our stay at Milly Cottage. It was perfect for our family. A newly decorated property, with a very well stocked kitchen and loads of cupboard space throughout the house. A very comfortable and well laid out living space. Milly Cottage is located on the most impressive of the lakes at the Lower Mill Estate. We loved waking up in the morning with the view of the lake. Our grandchildren also enjoyed making friends with the ducks. We had a nice meal at the Balihoo restaurant……

“We had a wonderful stay in this delightful cottage overlooking the lake, with passing wildlife, plenty of sunshine, and beautiful views. Both balcony bedrooms shared the same outlook, making the mornings especially memorable. The house is very comfortable for up to 7 guests, with a large open-plan living area featuring a balcony, log fire, TV, big kitchen table, and a well-equipped kitchen. There was ample seating throughout, though the sofas didn’t quite accommodate all 7 at once. Onsite……

“We stayed for a mid week break in June 2025's heatwave. It was lovely to be next to the lake in the heat. There were lakes where we could paddle to cool down and let the dog walk in (on lead). The property was properly dog friendly with throws on the settees expecting dogs to climb up and no area of the house out of bounds for the dog. There are many walks around the estate (which is a nature reserve) and also on the Thames path for the dog as well as the humans. The spa membership was……

“We stayed here for a weekend as a group of friends and it was absolutely perfect. The lake setting is so beautiful and the house itself was comfortable, beautifully decorated and well equipped with everything we needed. We loved spending time in the hot tub, relaxing in the huge kitchen and playing games in the living room, and there are lots of lovely walks from the house to places to eat around the local lakes. Can’t recommend the house highly enough- we can’t wait to come back!”

“Fabulous break with a large family group over two’s properties. The outlook was lovely and the sunrises spectacular over the lake. The house was equiped with everything you could need and the amenities around the site were ample, including pub/cafe/ outdoor pool/ play area. Would definitely return. The only downside was others taking your allocated parking space.”
