Mi aspettavo di più.
Struttura attempata anche se ha un vissuto importante. Lo si nota dal fatto che strutturalmente è bello e posizionato bene. Un 4 stelle che non offre neanche l’acqua di cortesia e che addirittura non ti dà nemmeno l’opportunità di pagarla in quanto il frigo bar è vuoto. Colazione improponibile. Erano passate una decina di minuti prima di vedere qualcuno del personale. Qualità scarsa, ti portano il caffè ma ti devi alzare per prendere lo zucchero. Il peggiore del gruppo accor hotels.

Io ci sono stato fuori stagione ma la struttura è affacciata al mare quindi sarà bellissimo nei mesi giusti. Comodo il parcheggio all’interno del parco e la possibilità di cenare anche tardi.

Do not book if you’re cruising
Overall very nice place but I do not recommend if you are coming in for a cruise. Very hard to get transportation into the city and each way was €20 for less than 5 miles.

My wife and I HATED this hotel. The property is ocean front (which was the only good thing about the place). However, the hotel itself is very run-down. The hotel is located far away from city-center and Taxi service in the town is not plentiful. Their was a multi-hour wait for dinner service. We had to walk around a quarter mile to the ONLY nearby restaurant, which was a small, mediocre pizza place. If you are planning a cruise out of this port city ... I would suggest: (1) stay in Rome and take a taxi/limo directly to the cruise terminal. (2) find a satisfactory hotel in Civitavecchia City Center ... sadly not many suitable choices. Whatever you do ... I would NOT recommend staying at Mercure Civitavecchia Sunbay Park Hotel.

Come faccia questo hotel ad essere un Mercure e ad avere 4 stelle e' un mistero. E' un 3 stelle da rinfrescare, cmunque almeno le stanze non sono troppo piccole e milte si affacciano sul mare. La colazione e' inclassificabile, dovrebbero darla gratuitamente. Ampio parcheggio dentro il perimetro dell'hotel.

Bad service, dirty, rooms, and common areas
The room was not very clean, the common areas are dirty, the service was not helpful, and the price of everything was outrageous. The breakfast is an edible with old bread, powdered eggs, and flavor aid versus real juice. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had and I would never go back at any price.

The property was tired and needs updating, the furniture in the room was basic, the mattress on the bed was uncomfertable, there was a shortage of staff in the dining room, the removal of used crockery from tables at breakfast was slow, the buffet had limited choices and ran out of food during the breakfast time, tbe coffee options were limited, the waiting staff had very limited english. Most guests were complaining. I cannot recommend this hotel at all.

First the positives - the views are fantastic and the staff was very pleasant & helpful. That was where the positives stopped for me. The property is in need of repair. Doors don't open or close correctly, windows and shutters have similar issues. The shower was dirty and really small. It is a place that was inexpensive and you get what you pay for here.

The hotel was clean but a little dated. The staff were friendly but it took an hour to get someone to come to the bar and serve me at 5pm. Ideal location for the cruise terminal but not much around there. The sea views are excellent and food was delicious.

Avoid at all cost.
Quite possibly one of the worst hotel stay’s ever. Dirty everything, unfriendly staff, the place was falling apart and the surfaces of everything we touched seemed dirty. Stains, bleach smell, hairs, mold, yuk - not worth 1 star. A real shame as this seemed like a wonderful hotel 20 years ago. A horrible representation of the Mercure Hotel brand. We were afraid to sleep in the bed after seeing all the stains. I’ll be writing to Mecure directly and Hotels dot com for a refund - this place needs to be truthfully reported. 1 star until they fix it up.

We arrived not realizing that this was the same dirty otel we had stayed at laast year. I dont normally give bad reviews but this time, october 19, 2023 i need to say something. We found evidence of bed bugs in our room 206. We left immediately and also took picctures. The room was filthy. We asked for a refund but they have refused. I just dont want anyone else to go through what we did today. Way to ruin a day!

Plan to walk or take a bus
Hotel was chill, good breakfast, but had to walk late at night due to no taxis and and had to bus in the afternoon. A but far from train station. Pool closed after September.

Don’t do it …
The place is done, well done actually. Little or no internet, no working TV, tired rooms, bad bed and pillows and poor food. The only thing it has going is it’s Oceanside location but even that’s not kept.

Das war unsere schlimmste Unterkunft in unserem Leben. Die Klimaanlage funktionierte nicht, wir öffneten die Tür. Ein paar Minuten später war das Zimmer voll mit Stechmücken, wir waren total zerstochen. Nach dem duschen stand das Bad unter Wasser. Am Waschbecken Schimmel. Definitely 1 star worthy - may ZERO
The front desk staff was extremely rude & we felt like we were bothering them with our questions. First time in Italy & after traveling for many hours - this type of reception of disgusting. Nothing was open to purchase drinks or food. Male staff saw females struggling with luggage & just looked the other way. Trashy hotel ran by trashy employees. Would NEVER EVER return to this place. Room was gross & dirty. Bathroom was filthy. Absolutely awful.

This property does not live up to the advertised presentation. Swim Up bar has obviously not been in service for a long time. The entire place Is run down and in need of a full upgrade and renovation. Our door locks were so worn the maintenance staff broke The door jamb to let us in. The property has huge potential, beautiful spot, our room had a beautiful view. Staff were friendly and helpful.

This is NOT a four star hotel. Old, unkempt rooms, nothing around it within walking distance. Transport arranged by hotel overpriced. Tried to charge 10 euro per day for the pool.. no towels provided. Nothing provided in rooms. No phone. No water. No coffee/tea facilities. Leaking tap. Broken shower. Toilet didn’t flush properly. All doors difficult to open. Only good thing was the food for dinner

The hotel was really old and falling apart. Not the best place to stay. Poor customer service. The walls in our room were falling apart. The room door gets stuck & very difficult to open. No taxi or Uber available. The restaurants is not good. All in all, I was very disappointed.

Upon arrival given key and told where to go abruptly Went to resturant for evening meal, Got my chicken - which was in fact quite nice - then after I was done my chips that i ordered with my chicken came, by that time the meal was basically over. Had a blown light in the toilet, which they were not going to fix until I had checked out the next day. Very dark and dingy using the light from the hall outside. The view from my balcony however was beautiful, unfortunately that is not enough to take me back Room was threadbare, staff were not helpful. Hotel is quite bit away from the port beachfront. Onlu one electrical outlet for charging devices No water or any other amenities provided in the room either.

Property is quaint but the staff was unwelcoming and discourteous; our “superior” room came with few amenities; the tv did not work and when we inquired about it, a deceptive promise was made to fix, and no attempt to fix was made; the shame is that the property has such potential and our stay could have been much more pleasant, but it was as if the staff went out of their way to be unwelcoming. If the desired response from us as tourists was to say we would never go there again, the staff achieved that goal. This was our first experience in Italy, and unfortunately it was not a good one.

Hotel was disappointing and not as seen in the pictures. It is old and unkept. Our room was not made when we arrived, with no pillow cases and dirty bathroom. We requested another room which took a while to make it happen. The pool is not part of the hotel and you need to pay to access it. It seems to be a public pool for the area. They didn’t have any seats available but luckily another guest who spoke Italian helped us get a seat. The only positive is the air conditioning in our room since the hotel has no fans and feels like an oven.
