Thank you for your stay and your kind review. Regarding the twins downstairs, I state on VRBO and the welcome letter that the daybed serves as a couch and a twin bed with a pop up trundle. I hope you popped up the trundle, a very few don’t realize it pops up next to the twin on the daybed. Both beds were bought a local furniture store and both have toppers for added comfort. I have a bad back so good bedding is imperative to me. The stairs to the loft are “loft stairs.” Some rentals have a ladder, thankfully my house has stairs. I try very hard to make The Gypsy Rose as comfortable and quaint as possible.

Thanks for your stay. I have to say, there are no parking issues? The driveway is freshly graded and in excellent shape. It’s on a tiny hill, I don’t understand why you’d be afraid of it. I’ve owned the house since 2018, no issues. When there’s a hill involved..,go.,,never stop. The house isn’t even up a mountain. Please next time, call me, I’ll teach ya how! As I explained to this guest, I have a technical glitch with VRBO stating there is a hot tub. This is the second time in five years this has happened. I called VRBO telling them that a hot tub keeps showing up in my amenities. It’s showing up on my other listing as well. The write up and all pictures depict every single thing. This woman knew the size of the beds upon booking and the stairs. No one has ever fallen. The driveway is simple. I’ve had huge dump trucks use the driveway. Whatttt???? She wrote me an offensive VRBO note stating I don’t take criticism. Of course, I do. How else to learn. I’m a super host and have great reviews. I’ve been a vacation rental owner since 2004. It saddens me to receive an unfair review. Thank you, Tanya

Kathleen showed up an hour early after hanging out at a bar, wanting to enter, wish normally I allow but I was still cleaning. As they were leaving, they ran off the driveway with their rear wheel dangling over the creek. I was trapped there and I could not leave until the wrecker got them safely towed back into driveway. I always add in the welcome letter please don’t back down the driveway. I said I really hate they had that happen, she rudely stated; “well if you’d let us in it would not of happened.” I reminded her that I wasn’t quite finished and she was almost an hour early and to put that on me. Her husband was very nice and apologetic. As for notes…I simply wrote on the closet rod “please don’t take hangers,” She was buzzed, rude and inconsiderate. She obviously NEVER read the welcome letter, As for the loft stairs, I have never had them called treacherous. She is bitter at her own wrong doing. I never mentioned any of this in my review to VRBO. I should have. Tanya (owner)

Yes it is small, a word I use in my write up and photo captions. It has a full size bathroom, dining area off stocked kitchen, laundry room, living room with a day bed with a pop up trundle(two comfy twins) recliner, coffee table, lamp table and a loft with a full size bed, a chair, chest of drawers and a tv! The outside deck is huge with outdoor seating and there is a nice size Firepit with seating in the backyard. Photos were shot with a regular lense to not be deceiving.

Thank you so much! I try to make my small cottage as comfy as possible! I too love that it’s close to Historic Downtown Clayton yet so many trails and waterfalls are near by! The Chatooga River is only 25 minutes away and Tullulah Gorge is 15 minutes!

Prices are seasonal. When you rebook at peak season, it’s higher. My prices are lower than most. Remember the nightly rate is per night and taxes per VRBO.

The TV has direct stream which has all channels. As well as Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, etc. Perhaps you didn’t see the Direct Stream icon. Thank you.

These Seniors brought two large breed dogs and did not pay a pet fee, not only that, the cleaner said hair was everywhere. Very disappointed. Owner

I accidentally sent the entry for my Destin condo well before their arrival, then immediately sent correct one. The pocket door obviously jammed, who knows who jammed it??? A carpenter said parts had to be ordered, so I offered a curtain. They said they would make do. I try to accommodate people.
