“Our stay was truly incredible. The Yurt was super unique and extraordinarily comfortable. From the cleanliness of the entire place, the super comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen and many special touches, everything exceeded our expectations. The hosts April and Zach are super friendly and wonderfully communicative. If you stay hear be sure to order the home baked scones, sour dough bread and freshly laid eggs. “We had originally booked the studio apt for Jan 9 to visit an elderly parent - a family emergency came up and we had to move our visit to as soon as possible - the owner kindly allowed us to transfer the booking to an earlier date, the 5th (the day after my distressed call) at the cottage instead so other family members could stay as well. Owner is not local, so apparently did not know that the cottage was not quite prepared for guests- it was clean, but not stocked and had some repairs going……

“Very clean. Close to Homestead (10 min walk?). Full kitchen, big dining table suitable for working, comfortable TV room, comfortable bedrooms. Minor issue with hot water not working in rear 2nd floor shower (worked fine in other baths). Only big issue was the rear door to house/kitchen was not lockable, which is a security issue, and the lack of communications from the manager when we raised it. She texted regularly and well initially (very accessible), but after the door lock problem was……

“I would've given the property a higher rating, but the outside property is not what you're going to see that's listed in the photo.. the river is beautiful but...I sent the property manager many pictures of issues beginning with the lack of deep cleaning, especially for the kitchen ovens .. the one in the main house looked like it not been cleaned for a very long time..Our nanny found a sock with a substance in one of the drawers in the basement, and my daughter found dirty towels, and socks in……
