「Couldn’t ask for anything more」

「A real hidden gem! I just wanted something other than a motel, and this goes far above fitting the bill. Very nice accommodation right on the Rock River. Peaceful view of the river from the back deck and there's fishing poles and tackle inside (didn't have time to fish this trip, but next time...!) A great romantic getaway or simply a nice spot to relax and enjoy yourself. Fantastic shower, full kitchen and washer/dryer available, and nice welcome treats. My first choice next time I'm in...

「Everything was exactly like it was listed. Thank you again for the quiet relaxing stay!!!」

「Our cabin rental was excellent from our arrival til our departure, stocked with everything we needed, the area is so private and peaceful! The cabin was very welcoming and relaxing and the front porch a fabulous retreat most of our stay! Looking forward to our return!」

「We really liked our small little cabin. Hot tub was a definite bonus. The only thing I didn't love was the crowdedness of the sleeping area. Which I knew it would not be very big because of the small cabin itself, but it just seemed complicated to navigate. Of course we're not very young either.」

「Beautiful place off the beaten path that provides a peaceful retreat. Place is clean and well equipped, could use some updated outdoor furniture to enjoy the very scenic backyard. The pond was great for swimming and relaxing floating. Hosts were very friendly and responsive, glad we found this place!」

「Good location. Drive way isn’t the best for a motorcycle but is manageable.」

「Extended weekend with my wife and dogs. We loved it there. Planning to book again soon.」

「Wonderful experience right on the Mississippi River! Hosts Dan and Annie were very friendly and attentive to our needs. We recommend this space highly and would definitely come back.」

「Great set up for families. One big room in basement with beds was great for kids. Nice kitchen and deck area with Great Lake and wood views.」

「Our family of five enjoyed our time at the cabin. The cabin had everything we needed to relax and have fun. The area was so peaceful and quiet, we caught fish after fish, and had fun exploring the lake and the trails. We couldn't ask for a better place to relax, unwind and make family memories.」

「What a treasure The Shire in Savanna is. Clean, nicely decorsuppled with everything you need, beautiful settting. Brian and Charmaine are great hosts, responsive, clear communication. Can’t wait to go back!」

「Everything was perfect when I arrived. The beach was not as pictured」

「Great place to stay! Pictures were great but it was even better in person! Hosts were very communicative. We would definitely stay here again!」

「We arrived late at night and it was very dark. Recommend lighting along the lane and perhaps signage to the cabins. Overall the place seemed clean, but we wondered how clean it really was when we saw feces on the outside of one of the toliet bowls. The beds were comfortable and the cabin was very well supplied. Lots of kitchen supplies, extra linens, and towels.」

「It was clean and we had all that we needed. Would suggest cutting down some branches, etc to enhance view of the river.」

「Pretty calm and beautiful place」
