Hotel was 1960s. No air conditioning, bad lumpy pillows, LOUD road noise, few outlets, tiny shower, limited counter space, small closet w 4 hangers, bed covers were not comfy. Breakfast was good but an additional 15 Euros per person. Location about 1/3 mile outside of town. Nice Mosel views but impossible to sleep and bathroom was tiny, shower was too small, towels were thin... bad experience!!

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Stumbergers in Cochem. The rooms were comfortable, the breakfast was fresh and plentiful, and the service was excellent throughout our visit. The friendly staff made us feel very welcome, and the location is perfect for exploring Cochem and the Moselle Valley. Highly recommended!

Beautiful breakfast room, adequate breakfast options, excellent coffee...Great price! All hotels areas...hallways, entry, room, bathrooms...all very clean and aesthetically pleasing and comfortable! Our mattresses were a bit soft/saggy, but that is a personal preference. Hotel staff, very friendly, accomodating and made us feel at home and welcome. On the Mosel River, the castle can be seen off in the distance.

Overnight stay exploring Cochem

Hotel Stumbergers was a simple and welcoming hotel. It is situated just outside the beautiful Mosel town of Cochem, within easy walking distance, but still allowing benefits like safe free parking. The owners were very helpful pointing out all of the amenities, recommending a local wine festival (which was great), and operating a nice beer garden too. Room was modern and no-frills but entirely sufficient for an overnight stay, the shower was very powerful. Breakfast was continental, and had plenty of choice with the offer of fresh eggs and coffee on demand! A fine place to spend the night exploring Cochem.
