Welcome to Alger Hideaway! This newly renovated cottage is just steps away from historic downtown Cody, within a block of restaurants, coffee houses, breweries, bars and shops. This cottage has a great location with plenty of privacy.
When you step into the living room at Alger Hideaway, you find a sleeper sofa for additional guests, a loveseat, smart tv and a cozy fireplace to warmth and ambiance on cooler evenings. The kitchen has all updated appliances and is well appointed for ease of preparing meals. The granite topped breakfast bar is the perfect spot to enjoy your morning cup of coffee and plan your next adventure. The tranquil bedroom with a newly upgraded queen bed has plenty of closet space for your travel wardrobe and a smart tv. The bathroom has a step in shower and vanity plus additional storage to keep your organized. The hallway has a convenient stackable washer and dryer. This property had pros and cons. Location was great but no instructions were given so we had to call property manager. Air conditioner in window had a musty, moldy smell so we turned it off. WE used ceiling fan. Did not like it that we couldn't open blinds on windows to let in light. Not adequate kitchen utensils as no spatula for grill or inside. Very few flat ware. Bar stools were very uncomfortable.

We based in Cody to travel to Yellowstone and the Tetons…probably farther than we wanted to drive each day. Enjoyed what Cody offered. We had trouble initially finding the property-expected it to be on Alger Street-not in the alley. The VRBO was Great! We loved the upscaled look. We missed having a working clock in the bedroom particularly. The outlet in the mirror in the bathroom didn’t work so we needed to use the bedroom mirror for hairdrying etc.

This was a great location within walking distance to gift shops and restaurants. If you bring your pup, there is a fabulous green belt across the street to walk them. We would stay again if we were to visit Cody again.

The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The unit was exactly as described, clean, small and quaint. Perfect for a couple visiting the area. Oh, the bed is fine. Very comfortable. There is a park two blocks away, perfect for walking the dog, or getting some exercise after a day in Yellowstone. Very impressed with the town of Cody. Lots of recreation areas, very clean town. People are very friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Very beautifully decorated and new. Bed is hard. Management is worthless. Directions are horrible. Couldn’t find the coffee pot, contacted management. They should have been told me where it was. Stayed 3 nights and found it the day we left. Also no batteries in fan remote. Again management said it doesn’t work on remote. Wrong tried all light switches and didn’t work till we got remote batteries. Paid cleaning deposit but had to , wash towels, strip bed,and empty trash. Won’t stay again. Nothing against the owners, but the management was not at all helpful.

We planned on a 5 day Getaway to relax and take in Yellowstone. Cody is a great town with plenty of history. Our VRBO unit was small but comfortable. It had everything we needed. Additionally, it is close to everything on the main drag.
