The stay at this hotel was the worst experience in a very long time. Room next to ours. Played the tv at a loud volume all night long. Finally called the front desk at 3am. Clerk did not seem to interested in getting involved. Then room above check in at 3:00 a.m.. stomping around for over half an hour. Finally had to go outside and sit in the car. Didn't get any sleep all night long. Never again will book a room at this hotel or franchise. Seems this establishment caters to some long-term stays. Judging from this situation, boundaries or rules are not established for these type of guests. Can't confirm whoever was in that room next to me was a long term. Obviously no consideration for their neighbors. Front desk was in close proximity. Don't understand how this clerk didn't hear the noise coming from that room. Upon checking out l politely express my displeasure with the experience at this hotel.. Received the standard I'm sorry. Sent in my way. Cannot recommend this hotel.

We chose this hotel because they accepted pets. We paid $20 per night to have our dog with us. It was obvious that our room was a “pet room” the second we opened the door. The room smelled horrible. Like a kennel. We stayed because it was close to family but the smell was overwhelming and we stayed out as much as possible. Bought air freshener that helped for a short while but did not last long. Couldn’t recommend staying here unless you can’t smell.

Quick stop. It's by the interstate so you can hear interstate noise in the morning. Other than that priced right. They had peanut butter for waffles

When we got the hotel, it smelled very heavily of weed and the guy at the front desk was not very helpful. When we got into room itself, it smelled faintly like cigarette smoke. Then around 2:45 in the morning there was drilling and banging on the wall adjacent to our room which woke us up. That said, the hotel was affordable which is always a plus with a last minute booking, and the bed was comfortable.

Full wall mirror behind the beds made it feel more like an hourly rental. Dust on the top of the hanging clothes closet was thick enough to write your name in it. Bathtub drain and hair trap was removed and sitting on the tub bottom, but the tub was clean.

Checkin was quick and easy, attendant very friendly and helpful. Room was clean but very dated and all fixtures and furniture showed wear. Beds were very hard, worn. Bathroom had loose tiles and toilet was loose from floor. Shower head was caked with lime deposits, and quit working when attempting to adjust. Was able to get it to work, but flow was not good. Breakfast was sparse, food stale and fruit not fresh.

With rooms going for upwards of $300 in Des Moines proper this weekend, we tried expanded our motel search a bit. Nothing fancy or new but all we needed for a quick nights stay. Beds were comfortable, clean and area was safe.
