Before my stay, the hotel processed a charge I did not expect based on my booking. I emailed asking for the General Manager, and a reservations agent replied without addressing my concern. At check-in, the front desk said it was not something she could help with. No one with authority ever responded. I was told at check-in I’d receive a text for contacting the front desk. It never came, and there is no phone in the room. The next morning the front desk was empty, with the lights and computer off. Entry at night is by door code. One evening a loud fight broke out in a neighboring room, and the hotel’s listed number reached someone off-site who didn’t know whether anyone was on the property. No one called back, and I ended up contacting 311, who sent police. The room had a sticky spill on the floor, a coffee maker that shook and made strange noises until I unplugged it, no shower shelf for toiletries, and outlets you have to get on the floor to reach. Towels were thin and rough. I expected basic follow-through and a way to reach staff. Don’t count on anyone being at the front desk.
