"Un lugar muy bonito y tranquilo. Vi algunos colibris en el jardín y la familia es muy bonito, habla Quechua y español. Es un camino corto desde el centro de Otavalo pero sentí seguro en caminar allí.
So much quieter than other properties in the center of the city. Breakfast is simple but sufficient and I felt safe walking to and from the downtown area for other meals. The owners are wonderful and speak Quechua as well as Spanish. Some beautiful long-tailed hummingbirds were out in the garden."

"Unfortunately there was an issue with their booking system and, although hotels, com
showed that they had 3 nights free, they contacted me the morning of my stay to say they could only accommodate me for 2 nights, and I had to move for that last night, which was a bit annoying. But, saying that, the hotel was very comfortable for those 2 nights, quiet and breakfast was very tasty. And the room was very clean. "

"Wonderful stay experience! The staff at Hotel Indio went above and beyond to make us feel at home and our stay most enjoyable. Would stay with them again with zero hesitation. If you find yourself in Otovalo, look them up- you’ll be pleased."

"El propietario es uno de los peores con los que he tenido un trato. Se desentendio de mi reservacion. Cuando yo me llame, dijo que no tenía reservacion y lo rento a alguien más. Fue un descarado y no ayudo en nada. Me disgusto mucho esa persona."

"Fantastic place. A spot of tranquility in the middle of the wonderful chaos that Ecuador and Otavalo can be. Very attentive and helpful staff. Beautiful hacienda - you can feel the history of the place everywhere."

"La Mirage was an oasis in Cotacachi. Really nice grounds with beautiful animals and flowers all over. Elegant rooms. Superior dining experience. Breakfast was delicious. Staff was very thoughtful and kind. Would stay again, and highly recomend."
"The staff are so welcoming and friendly, like
You are staying with family. The hotel is so well looked after, with so many personal
touches and thought, it’s really a gem "
"This is my favorite place I’ve ever stayed. It’s a 300 year old Spanish hacienda. Beautiful. Well maintained grounds. Extremely helpful staff. Wonderful, daily breakfast included. All of this said, this is an old building. Do not expect modern amenities like an in room tv, coffee maker or fridge. Do expect an in room wood burning fireplace that the staff lights for you every night. Do expect a very very cool, old bar. Do not miss their opening night drink including a 3 song performance by an indigenous band. Do expect an excellent in house restaurant with not crazy prices. I just really, really love this place!"
"The owners are fantastic hosts -- they go way above and beyond to give you the best experience!!! Not only do they provide a very clean and comfortable and extremely affordable place to stay, but they will walk around the community with you to show you highlights, they will help to arrange transportation, and offer suggestions of how and where to find what you are looking for!!
This is a very convenient place to stay if you are wanting to head into Otovalo. The Araque area and San Pablo area are some of the nicest and friendliest places I have ever been to. We will definitely return!!!!"
