Still A Great House
Have come to this property several times and have enjoyed it consistently. It's comfortable with a very nice view over the hills. Note that there is only one shower and it is downstairs, where there are no bedrooms. The bathtub in the primary BR seems nice, but have never used it. There is no shower in that bathroom.

Retreat
Excellent home to reconnect with the whole family. We made dinner and played board games on the giant coffee table. Started and ended the day on the outside deck overlooking the valley. So very lovely. We plan on coming back and staying longer.

Thanksgiving week
Lovely property with lovely view. The water wasn't working however and we had to limit use as it ran out after a shower or several toilet flushes. The heat was hard to control as it came on at odd hours and most of it went to the ceiling. The internet was slow and there were no directions regarding use of the tv or where to put garbage and recycling. While the bedrooms were on the second floor the only shower was on the first floor so you were always toting clothes around.

Great layout, super private
This place was so perfect for us, a luxurious escape, lots of sunny space to read. The water pump broke while we were here, but someone came right away to take a look and then moved us to another rental.

Amazing property with the best views!

Simply magical
I so enjoyed this beautiful, unique home high on the hill in a quiet, natural setting. Its architecture is just wonderful, and its enormous windows look out into a treed valley. Very much enjoyed the owner's selection of period CDs such as Sinatra and collections of retro tunes. The kitchen is well appointed and has everything you'd possibly need for cooking during your stay. The fireplace is so cozy at night, but I have to say I think supplying only one firelog for a multi-day stay is disappointing. I would think one log per day of a stay would a considerate thing to do. I did buy a half-dozen box at Fred Meyer. The beds were comfortable enough and the tub was divine. It was a wonderful place to reconnect with my creative side and do some writing in the beautiful peace and quiet. I would 100% stay at this property again, and I hope to do so in another season. Thank you, owners, for sharing your gem of a property. I absolutely love your taste. You must be really cool people.

Great quiet getaway
My husband and I stayed here as part of our 2nd Anniversary trip. We loved the view from the back of the home as well as the seclusion. We always felt safe and everything we needed was available. Would definitely recommend!

Interesting house
The house is really interesting and everyone agreed it was the best rental we've stayed in. It's a very open environment so you'll see each other often. I would recommend this to a group that doesn't need time apart thought the stay. The property maintains a high level of privacy and the view is spectacular.

Cozy getaway, breathtaking views
This is my second time back to this spot. I went with my partner when he surprised me with this gorgeous place for my birthday weekend. I knew when my friends came to visit next I had to share this incredible space with them and it served as the perfect girls weekend getaway as well. We stopped at a winery on the way down from PDX, hit the beach in Bandon for the golden hour and enjoyed a lovely dinner at home! Can’t wait to stay again!

The setting was serene and beautiful. The home was well furnished, and a nice big kitchen. Our only complaint was the lack of the patio umbrella so we were not able to enjoy the outdoor table. We saw deer and a bunny. Thank you.

Wonderful location and interior decor. We have traveled the world for the past 3.5 years and this has been one of our favorite locations and lovely homestays. Could have used a few cooking staples available for those on the road travelers. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely getaway home
Very relaxing, quiet, nice views and the home looks just like the photos. Very clean, with a good kitchen and all the pans, etc. you’ll need. The grounds also receive excellent care; wow, what a lot of work to keep it so tidy and nicely planted. We enjoyed moving the chairs around the yard to see the view from different angles; also enjoyed walking the scenic driveway through the trees. Be sure to stand on the deck of the pump house to be in the middle of a beautiful stand of very tall coastal evergreens — you’ll be about half way up to their tops! It was invigorating hanging out there a bit in the wind to watch them all sway together at that elevation.

Lovely Stay
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property! You're definitely off the beaten path with an absolutely spectacular view, but you're still close to Coos Bay. If you've never lived/stayed out in the country before, do note that the water is well water and likely to have a strong sulfur smell and wonky taste. I'd recommend bringing a few gallons of water yourself to drink (the fridge has a filter but you can still smell the sulfur) or use for washing veggies if that bothers you. The property is exceptionally clean and the house has a fabulous living room with the most spectacular views. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked with kitchen appliances and cooking utensils. There's a great sound system and plenty of classical cds to choose from for some ambience. We absolutely loved our stay so much we wished we had booked it for longer!

Great house.
For some reason i never got the email with instructions for getting into the house, had to search for lock box and call for code. Also, groundskeepers showed up at 9:30 and departure stay. The place is remote and 3 unexpected strangers coming up the driveway on check out morning startled us. They were nice, just unexpected. Overall, very nice place.

Nice rental
House's AC seems to really just be a fan...house gets hot in the afternoon due to uncovered high windows... Opening kitchen windows where the house is coolest helped a little in the evening. Master bed was very comfortable. We had everything we needed... loved the location..

The house is dated and wasn’t clean.
The house was dated in decoration. Dirty BBQ, dirty outdoor furniture, used sponge to wash dishes, limit towels with stains, needed vaccum, toilets not cleaned and bedding did not smell fresh. Great view.

Lovely home with sweeping views
The home is just as lovely as portrayed in the photos. Excellent kitchen with just about every appliance you can think of. (However, be aware that you will need to bring any condiments ~ olive oil, etc. ~ and your own plastic wrap, aluminum foil, etc., if you are cooking and want to save leftovers.) My husband and I got lost (overlooked the signage), but Jessica at VACASA was wonderful and got us back on track. The home is in a very secluded site, and as others have mentioned, the driveway is quite steep, but the views of the coastal mountains are sweeping and majestic. We were visited by a doe and her fawn, and we enjoyed the music provided by the birds. A wonderful home and great site for couples or a small family. Would love to return in the future.

The house was lovely and the view was AMAZING!!
The kitchen was well stocked with quality kitchen items and everything was easy to use and comfortable. The only thing we struggled with was the heater was on some sort of timer and it would revert back to 60 degrees. It snowed during our trip so we were cold!! It was easy to reset it but it was a bother during the night. I think this could be an easy fix for the owners to take care of especially in the winter. The grounds were stunning and well maintained and the house well cared for. If the Heater issue is resolved we would return. We loved the quiet and beauty of the neighborhood.

Gorgeous relaxation station.
Breathtaking views, floor to ceiling windows, architectural elegance, and a great kitchen! We were here for two weeks in October, and this was our launch pad for Oregon coast exploration. What a great place to come home to each day, or to just spend the day at the house. So much thought and care has been put in to this lovely place, and I'm just grateful the owners have been gracious enough to share.
