Great Little Place
We stayed for 3 nights. We loved the pellet stove fireplace as well as the secluded location overlooking the slough.

VRBO vs VACASA
I’ve used VRBO over 10 years. It has been rare for me to contact the property manager. Unfortunately there was a safety concern and it was frustrating to first call an 800 number, talk to what felt like a call center with a heavily accented person and then be required text pictures (all the while the pellet stove is smoking up the house and periodically igniting while turned off). It took a bit to convince VACASA I needed a local person to address our safety concern. Once I spoke to a local person, the issue was resolved quickly. As it turned out, the previous tenant overloaded the pellets. The local level was amazing, they had the Owner and a local technician here within 30 minutes. 5 stars to the local team My only other issue was someone was digging around in the garage that is attached to this small apartment. (8PM ish) The walls are thin and it was loud in the apartment. At 9:15PM we were in bed (the loud scraping and shuffling still going on in the garage) and an alarm goes off (long enough for us to think it was our rental and we got out of bed to check our car) It was very loud (hubby thinks it was the building alarm). Then the truck starts and since the thin bedroom wall is shared with the garage wall the muffler is super loud and it felt like a roar when they finally left the garage at 9:35PM Whomever dug around in the garage was extremely inconsiderate. The view is amazing, the location is convenient, it’s one of the cleaner units I’ve stayed in.

Clean and quiet
This cute, quirky cottage was perfect for our romantic getaway. The property was super clean, cute and the view was fantastic. It was cozy with a pellet stove fire, dual recliners and a big screen TV. No dishwasher, but we ate out mostly so not an issue. It is in a quiet neighborhood and the bed was super comfy. We loved it!

Great property for a couple. What seems like a busy road provides no road noise while outside enjoying the view of the cove or inside the residence. Very basic supplies on hand, but my wife didn’t come here to cook.

This rental was perfect for the two of us. The location was great. We loved sitting on the patio watching the sunrise over the river…we even saw an otter family. Spectacular bird watching.

Small & Cozy with a View
Osprey Cove is a great little place perfect for couples or small families. I'm a single mom with two young kids, and we had just the right amount of space to rest & cook meals after our daily excursions. When we arrived the place was very clean, one of the cleanest I've stayed in, and I'm quite picky! The kitchen was a bit smaller than I expected, but it was enough for our needs although it would be nice if there was a shelf or pantry to store food for longer stays. The pellet stove was easy to operate after reading the instructions, and kept us toasty during cool nights. The queen bed was comfortable, but I don't recommend using the pullout couch, or if you do, put a very small child there who won't notice how much it sags. The decor was certainly eclectic, but that just added to the charm. The internet was perfect for morning meetings and the bathroom had more than enough hot water to go around. The towels were soft, and there were extra linens in the closet. I would have liked to have a few more hangers available and that the linens were updated a bit, as the blankets and comforters were pretty worn and clearly from the 80s at the latest. However, none of these points detracted from the view, the comfort, or the cleanliness of this rental. The only real negative point was that I attempted to communicate with the host a couple days prior to see if we could check in early, and I never received a response. I would have at least liked the courtesy of a "No, we can't accommodate that."

Beautiful spot

The view from this place is amazing. So peaceful sitting on the patio looking down to the water. This place is close to a lot of things but away from the hustle and bustle. Short drive to beautiful beaches. Small drawback is busy street but we dealt with that. Owner is next door and very friendly. Would definitely rent again. ♥️

This was a great place to stay for a simple trip to the coast. All we wanted was a relaxing place during the daytime and a comfy place to sleep at night. This place had that. Beautiful view and close to a lot of great things—restaurants, beaches, docks…whatever you want it’s all within 15 minutes of this place.

Best little cabin!
Loved, loved, loved this little slice of heaven. So peaceful and a million dollar view! The owners have done an amazing job making it feel so “homey” we come to Charleston every year for the 4th of July and my boyfriends birthday and we will definitely be booking this place again!

Cabin on the slough with lovely view
Fine for 2. Pleasant , but We found the dehumidifier to be loud and very annoying esp while watching tv. The pellet stove was nice and provided cozy setting. The coffee pot needs an upgrade. The outside patio table was very dirty and there was an ashtray full of cigarette butts ....ick ... on the table. The view is lovely out back, but a very noisy spot due to lots of traffic behind the house even during the night. Suggest you tell renter that owners live on site. It was nice to be close to Charleston. Enjoyed Fishermans Grotto for dinner! I had messaged the prop manager weeks before our stay asking about washer and dryer but never received a response. The guide in the room suggested we “help” the cleaning staff by starting a load of towels. We found this humorous since there is no washer/dryer at this rental. Also we pay fees to VRBO for cleaning so asking renters to do this is rather insulting. The damage waiver fee was high. We always leave our rentals clean and neat. Would not rent again here.

Very impressed by how clean this place was, and the bed was super comfortable. The only downside to this property is that there isn’t much to do within walking distance. However, if you’re looking to relax and enjoy the view from the patio, this place is for you!!

The little cottage is very cozy, inviting, and peaceful. There is a lovely, serene view from the entrance to the cottage which overlooks the bay. Our host and hostess were lovely people who we enjoyed visiting with. A short distance away is a nice sea food restaurant. The surrounding area, within a 50 mile radius, is breath taking. Bring your camera to capture those special moments. The weather cooperated while we were there and the fog burned off quickly revealing comfortable 70 - 75 degree days. Nice stay, driveway a bit awkward to exit, but nice & roomy for turnarounds
Comfy, wood pellet stove made it very comfortable. A bit surprised about the stuffed animals tho, probably need to make a remark about them in your listing description. Showerhead needs to be improved.

Steve, thank you for the feedback. This cottage is in a wooded area overlooking the River. There are a few animal heads on the walls. A local taxidermist did. The shower heads work well but we will pass on your comments and suggestions concerning the home to the owner. Thank you!
