Overall, we had a good stay at Victoria Hill. I was a bit skeptical at first when we arrived, as the lobby and main part of the hotel are definitely outdated and not the cleanest. Some of the furniture was visibly old and in slightly rough shape (fake leather was peeling off of furniture etc.), and the stairs as well as bathrooms on the second floor were very dusty and clearly not cleaned often (for instance, there was a spiderweb in the bathroom with a large spider in front of the toilet and large clods of dust and cobwebs on the stairs and in corners). The fixtures in the bathroom definitely had not been updated in a long time, as they were old and not in the best shape. However, the room itself seemed very clean and the bathroom fixtures were updated! The room was mopped and tidied up every day, which we appreciated. The front desk staff were very kind and accommodating. We arrived prior to check in, and they let us leave our bags behind the desk until the evening when we returned. They also allowed us to keep our bags in the lobby after check out, which was very kind. One lady at the desk also lent us an iron, which was also very appreciated (although no ironing board, which was a bit odd but not a big issue at all).
