Perfect place for family fun at the beach. Great floor plan with plenty of beds and bathrooms. Terrific beach access and the sand driving was fun! If you need a big house, this is your place.

This is a review of only the “Hemingway”- not the entire mega-estate. This property is no longer listed separately on VRBO. The Hemingway has 14 bedrooms, 15 baths, no theater room. Our family considered our July weeklong stay an enjoyable adventure in a beautiful area, complete with horses in the yard! The house was large enough to accommodate us, and we enjoyed gathering at the clean fresh water pool. Be advised- it's a real adventure traveling over 3 miles of sand. For us, it meant a lot of chauffering to get everyone to and from the house- a 4WD or AWD vehicle is REQUIRED by law. For a luxury-priced house, there were some quality issues. Routine housekeeping is up to date, but the house is in need of some upkeep, and repair/replacement of gas stove, microwave, cabinet doors, window blinds, screens, deck furniture. (Full list has been sent to the very nice owner). Maybe it's a work in progress. Curiously, this house, obviously built to be a rental, has been around for many years, yet there are no reviews?
