Family Beach Week

We love coming to the Outer Banks every year. This house was awesome; amazing decks with cozy Adirondack chairs, a crows nest with gorgeous views, the pool was perfect and would get shady around 3pm (just when you are about sunned out!) It was a very short easy walk to the beach. Only downside was the stairs over the dunes and getting all the beach things to the sand. But the beach itself made it totally worth it. It was not very crowded. Gradual depth entry perfect for kids. While we were there the ocean temps were perfect and the waves weren’t too rough. The house was great. Two en suite bathrooms. A bunk room. The cough is super comfy. We did seafood boil one night (OBX boil company SO good). And we went to Mama Easley’s for dinner one night (everyone’s meal was very good!). Shops are close to the north and south, easy to get to. Only downside was the internet was poor while we were there. The cable on the back of the router was frayed. But honestly the technology disconnect was good for us and the kids! Would definitely consider renting this house again!

Home away from home

The house suited our needs perfectly! My husband and I, 3 adult children and 2 teenagers had plenty of space to relax and enjoy ourselves. The house was adequately (if not over) stocked! Plenty of silverware and cook ware, more than any other place we've stayed. Any questions or concerns were answered/remedied within hours. The walk to the beach is just over a block away on a nice Trex 'boardwalk', though a good number of stairs over the dune! The positive aspects certainly outweigh any negative. Feel I could go on and on about the quality and comfort of our stay, but you get the idea! The only downsides were the hot tub room gets missed in cleaning, the tub is clean, just the room is dirty. The door could use some attention. Otherwise, We highly recommend staying here, we certainly want to come back!!

Whalehead

Renting was no problem All questions answered. Property had towels and socks thrown outside Could have been cleaner. Bathroom sinks and toilets could use upgrade but it was all in all pleasant home. Enjoyed the pool. No fault of the owner but Quit a walk to the beach if you carry a lot. Steps at the beach access were very steep especially with a baby. Toddler. And coolers and chairs. If you took beach wagon you had to lift that up the stairs also at beach. No ramp or way to get around to the beach without using steps.
