Could have been better…

Our stay was nice enough and we always enjoy our time in this special part of the world. It was nice to have a pool. However this home while it was comfortable enough was not very clean at all. At the very least it needs a serious deep clean. The towels were dingy and stained. Every table and surface was sticky and some even had food crumbs. Most of the dishes we had to wash first because they were dirty. The floors were sticky. The walls and trim are filthy. The curtains were stained and tattered. The interior flooring and stairs were poorly installed specifically the stairs and you can see how they were cut wrong and the lip of the stairs are a tripping hazard. Forget grilling, the grill was disgusting and rusted. We did not use the dishwasher since it looked filthy and smelled. The outside of the home looked as if it had not been cleaned in years. Bugs were so dense in the outdoor lights that you can barely see the light. The decks and exterior walls are caked in dead bugs. All of this was so disappointing and made it hard to relax. We made do and enjoyed activities outside. But I was very surprised at the state of this place especially considering that the neighborhood is upscale and the management company has “luxury” in their title. Definitely not luxurious. I hope management will do better but we won’t rent from them again.
