Great vacation rental for a family

We had a great time at Jan's Oasis. The layout of the condo was perfect for our family of 4 (including two elementary aged children). We loved the easy walk to the beach. No need for a golf cart - we just brought our own wagon to haul items to the beach. We utilized the nice condo community pool each day, too. Would definitely recommend.

Great location

The condo was as advertised - nice view, easy access to beach, comfortable beds, kitchen well stocked. Bathrooms could use a little work - no bath mat so had to be very cautious getting in & out of shower on tiled floor, rusty shower faucet handles, and ceilings above showers need good de-molding - didn’t feel clean. Could use a good dusting throughout unit Property management could use better checkin system - had to drive to office for key code, parking pass & wristbands and also not wait til day of checkin to demand ID text to random cell # - I had booked, signed contract & paid in full a month before and they didn’t ask for it then. Overall neat place that suited our beach getaway

Nostalgic after Christmas vacation

Upon inspecting the condo after first arrival found several different discrepancies that should have been fixed before we got there. For instance in the master bedroom no globe on the ceiling fan just a bare bulb , water glass sitting on the nightstand half full of water, in the master bathtub the tub diverter was old crusty , when we ran water debris from the diverter was all over the bottom of the tub. Kitchen faucet would not shut off properly, found a dirty dish in cabinet, no coffee pot only Keurig machine which was unexpected. Blinds in the second bedroom were inoperable which was The view to the ocean, the light fixture on the balcony overlooking the ocean was hanging by the wires! On a positive note the beds were very comfortable in the bedrooms, furniture was adequate through out the facility, kitchen had all of the amenities except for coffee pot. Was a short walk to the beach as promised. Overall I would give it three out of five stars.

We love Beachhead Condos

We've been staying with family at Beachhead Condos for over 30 years. The rentals are always comfortable, well-stocked, quiet and safe. This trip was no exception. Home away from home!

Nice location

This unit is on top floor w no elevator. You go up 2 long stairways. Comfy furniture and bedding. Clean, although tubs and bathroom flooring could use updating. Enjoyed our stay

Great location and great unit

Better than expected!

I booked this place due to the proximity of the beach (4 min walk) and because it had a heated pool (for March temps). I wasn’t expecting the place to be as nice, clean and updated as it was. The beds were comfy, the kitchen equipment was fully stocked and they even supplied cute travel bath gels & shampoos. The deck had a full view of the gulf. I would definitely come back.

Had a great weekend in Port A

It was our first time visiting Port A and the property sure made our first trip a memorable one. The room was nicely decorated and very comfortable. The view of the beach from the balcony was perfect. We also really liked the fact we had a nice boardwalk from the propert right to the beach. Couldn’t really ask for much more than this. We will definitely try to come back again next year.

Nice stay - we could see and hear the waves from the deck.

Check in and out was easy. The condo - 3 flights up - We could see and hear the waves from the deck! (narrow deck, but functional) Had a slight problem with the door to the deck, called management and within 10 minutes a person was there and fixed the door. The living area had comfortable seating and cute decor. We did not cook, but made coffee and toast each morning. A few coffee filters were provided, we brought some. There were plenty of paper towels and toilet paper for the 3 nights we were there. Shower gel was provided, but we brought our own soap for bathing. The bathrooms are very small but adequate, with good water pressure and plenty of hot water for 4 adults to take showers. The beds were comfortable, with lamps on each side of the bed. Everything was generally clean. We always wash the dishes/glasses/ flatware before we use them where ever we stay. The boardwalk to the beach is easy and there is a station to rinse off the sand and salt water before you go into your condo. We had a lovely time and this condo suited our needs. It was comfortable for 4 people, clean, and we could relax on the deck with coffee and watch the sunrise over the water. We never had a problem with mosquitos in the evening - too much of a breeze. Our suggestions - 1. Clean the vent fans in the bathrooms and replace filters. 2. It appears the toaster needs to be replaced - only one of the elements works. 3. Add one or two more small tables on the deck for places to put drinks/snacks. Really picky -4. Replace the ceiling light in the living/dining area with a light that hangs over the dining table. It can still be wired from the place the light is now.
