Fantastic property management. Padre Escapes was extremely responsive and professional. We had a kitchen sink issue, and they came out quickly. They even confirmed permission to enter if we weren’t there.Perfect location. Just a 3-minute walk to the beach, and the pool is right outside your door with plenty of chairs and shaded seating.Close to everything. Island Market grocery, CVS, liquor store, beach gear shops, and local restaurant options.Spacious and comfortable. Four bedrooms and three bathrooms made it perfect for three couples and a grandparent. Beds were comfortable, and every room had a ceiling fan.Good value. For the size, location, and amenities, the property was well-priced for what you get.A bit dated. The home is slightly more worn than the pictures show.Temperature balance. Only one A/C thermostat for the entire unit — the downstairs master was warmer while the upstairs bedrooms were cooler.Laundry. The washer’s spin cycle wasn’t working, so the loads needed two rounds in the dryer - defeating the purpose of "packing light".TV setup. Roku only — you’ll need your own streaming accounts. Stay was in Oct; no ESPN college football, MLB playoffs, or NFL games over the weekend unless you have those services.Supplies. With seven people for five days, we ran short on toilet paper, paper towels, and dishwasher pods. Not a big deal, but it should be stocked for the length of the stay and 7 guests.Well-priced, and a few minor, unexpected nuisances.

Easter Getaway

The property was perfectly described. Location is close to the beach and fishing locations. Heated pool was a plus during cool evening. Only thing we could ask for was extra towels/beach towels. Thank you for a new place for family vacay!! We have other family interested for future rentals.

Okay

Great place walking distance from the beach Clean house not old.Pool was not being heated the whole time we where there only the last day they decided that they could heat it for us after notifying the many times. Not sure if they only heat the pool on weekends or what. The kitchen is not fully stocked need seasoning coffee very limited on trash bags an some more small things.

Not what was listed online

When we arrived the house didnt have as many bedrooms/beds as what was listed online with pictures. We were short one bedroom for what we needed. We found dirty underwear and bra, kitchen sissors laying in the back, finger or toe nails in one of the rooms.

Great rental

We came down to Corpus Christi for our annual family trip. Usually with all the different opinions we have a hard time agreeing on where to stay. As for this home, it was great, our group of 15 all enjoyed their stay. The kitchen was will equipped and the house was clean and close to almost everything we needed for a day at the beach. I would definitely recommend this home to friends and family. Hopefully on our next trip, Padre Escapes has a home available.

Family bonding.. Having Fun

We had plenty beds to sleep, weather was rain /storm and beaches were closed at first..but the pool saved the first part of our stay..kids had so much fun and met other guests children.. then beach was ready .. right down the road! It was great! We all loved the house! We also walked across the street and fished a little..it was great! thank y’all for a great family vacation.

Aruba Beach Getaway

Location was perfect. We really enjoyed the bay right across the street for fishing and the swimming pool with barbecue grills. However, the two trash bins by the front door were over filled with garbage upon our arrival and even trash on the ground. We picked it up and right away and contacted Padre Escapes who asked us to try our best to keep it clean and that someone will be there to pick it up. No one showed and the following day was trash day. Other condo's put their bins out and when I called again to ask them if we needed to take them out they said assured us that someone would be coming. No one ever came our entire stay of 3 nights and we had to walk our trash out to the big garbage container. Another big issue was the dryer did not work. We ran our clothes 3 times, and it still wasn't dry. They got someone to check it out and they said the dryer needed a new belt which wouldn't come in before our departure. Padre Escapes said that the owner of the condo would give us a 10% discount. We received a discount of $187.00 but compared to the price of the total stay which was around $2400.00 didn't seem like much. Maybe not all fees cannot be discounted. Between the pool, beach and showers, having clean towels is very important. Yes, they supply back up towels in the closet, but we still had to hang dry towels and clothes. After experiencing this problem, I looked at the reviews for Aruba Beach Getaway and this dryer problem has been going for years.

Perfect getaway!

If you have a large family like I do this is the perfect getaway! We booked both listing that were next to each other and we enjoyed going back and fourth between the Gomes eating snacking and hanging out with one another. Unfortunately it was very cold so we didn’t get to enjoy the beach but we will definitely come back some time during the summer.

Lets start with 2 dish towels for 8 people for 6 days. The dryer does not work crock pot doesnt heat

Vents very dirty. No pot holders. Very nice place. Needs some maintenance on some things. We would stay againg knowing what we would need. Much different then all the otherswe have stayed at.

Quiet duplex

Check in was at 4pm and didnt get access till Almost 5. We were the ones calling for updates no one knew anything. Female we spoke to was totally clueless I was a told a manager would call me never did. 24/7 support non existant. Pool was small and overcrowded with People. Other than that it was ok.

A good cleaning

The unit was a good size for our group of 15. We enjoyed the pool. The kitchen is in need of maintenance, the hodgepodge of cooking pans were old and without lids, 1 of the burners on the stove did not work. The front of the stove fell off (we secured it with heavy duty tape). There was no broom. The master bedroom had no dresser for storing clothes. Lastly, we found an article of underclothes under the downstairs bedroom bed. Overall the unit requires a good cleaning but we overlooked these minor things and had a good time.

Great stay but need some appliance updates

Stay was great but freezer had a leak with maybe the ice maker and the washing machine kept getting lent all over the clothes. Would have been nice to have some nicer skillets that weren’t all scratched up to cook with.

Fantastic Location

During these unprecedented times of uncertainty, it was awesome to get the kids out of the house for a week of fun on the beach. The beaches were open during our stay and it was an easy 5 minute walk to get there. It wasn't too crowded out there, and the kids had a blast! The property was perfect for our needs. My only minor complaint is that the floors were dirty. But your 2 blocks from the beach and across the street from Lake Padre, so I get it. The constant sea breeze can be a blessing during those hot July days, and a curse with the amount of dust and sand they blow in.
