Beach Vacation

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect set up since one family member has a prosthetic leg and stairs are an issue so the downstairs suite made this house a great fit for us. We had everything we needed and ample amount of space. We would definitely rent again.

Great stay

Great location, comfortable, no problems during our stay. Only suggestion; the lighting outside is minimal, so it would be helpful if the stairs had more lighting so no accidents would occur. And motion sensor by pool did not work. Everything else was great!

Family Beach Escape

Enough space for everyone; very clean; easy access for check in and check out; would love to come back! Definitely recommend. We also loved the decks and the swings at the main entrance, so relaxing with an amazing breeze!

June 2024 family vacation

The location was good, close to beach access. Plenty of room for our family to enjoy time together and parking for 4 cars. Clean and functional overall. Nice to have a small pool. Issue with air conditioning in separate unit but Management was quick to respond and took care of it same day. May not work for everyone due to all the stairs and no elevator, but great for us. Easy check in and check out. Thank you!

Wonderful Stay!

We had a great time at this house! Overall recommend this place! The pool was very nice. The washer and dryer are in the garage and the first floor apartment. The house met all our needs and has a really nice front porch. The first floor apartment A/C wasn't working until the second to last day, but we were only using it for laundry, so didn't give property management a heads up until the end otherwise I am sure they would have sorted it out. Overall, great stay and if this house was available when planning our next trip, we'd strongly consider staying here again. Thanks.

Great Location

Great location. Pool was a huge benefit. We loved that there was a pool alarm for the back door- great safety feature. When we arrived, the AC was not working. The property management company quickly got a maintence worker and then eventually an AC company out to repair it. However, the room on the bottom floor of the house was never properly cooling even when we left- it wouldn’t get below 80 degrees (which was fine because we ended up not even using it except for the washer and dryer). Property was nice.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we enjoyed our stay at Kara Mia. Management was very responsive and rental information was clearly communicated. We loved the proximity to the beach. We did not utilize the ground level living area (it was very hot and musty). The main and upper levels were perfect for 4 adults and 4 teenagers. I would recommend a little more careful cleaning between guests. Upon arrival, we found M&Ms candy on the floor of the main bedroom. The bed on the main floor was very comfortable but the bed in upstairs bedroom was a little worn/uneven. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking essentials. The kids enjoyed the pool and the deck is very nice in the morning/evening. Overall we had a great stay.

We highly recommend Kara Mia!The only negative feedback is we would have wished that the downstairs A/C worked and that extra trash bags would have been left with cleaning supplies.We did not call this in or reported because we managed and were having so much fun with family these things were not a big deal to our family.We would stay again and would highly recommend this property. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was beautiful. There were 8 family members. There was a pool on pics of the site but no pool upon arrival, which site now says pool after Labor day. I would not have rented if I had known there was no pool. The layout gave us difficulties as the master is on the 3rd floor w/detached bath, 1 king on 2nd floor w/bunk room, detached apt on ground which is where the washer/dryer were. The dryer heated the entire bottom space. Kitchen/gathering space on 2nd floor. There were not enough dishes for a place that sleeps 12. Benefits: all house switches were labeled, large fridge/freezer and lots of kitchen tools/gadgets. We had an issue w/master shower & missing a TV remote, but maintenance came quickly & took care of that.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful home, clean and spacious. Only complaint is we rented the property because it showed in the amenities to have a private pool. When I looked at the property a few days before arriving it had a note under the site name stating the pool would not be installed till after Labor Day. After calling to inquire I was told directly there was nothing that could be done. Because of that this will be our last time with Port A Escapes. There were other properties that were available, we just feel there could have been alittle more effort.
