「The hotel is already relatively "modern" if you compare it with other hotels nearby. The single room and bed are small and old, but comfortable. Unfortunately, there was a spider in my room, which was totally unacceptable. I was advised by the receptionist that it was her first time to hear that and I should take a photo (if I did, I would upload this photo together with my comment). 「Fabulous hotel. Lovely lounge to chill out in, and have fresh drinks complimentary. very restful. We always stay here as its a beautiful surrounding area, and very easy to walk into Grafton Street etc. Great place. Staff are amazing. Everybody couldn't do enough to help you. 「I’m not an experience traveler by any means but Christopher is an outstanding host. I felt well cared for and all of my needs were met happily. The room was lovely and well kept. The breakfast was outstanding and plentiful. I can’t recommend the Tudor Lodge highly enough. When I return to Glendalough I will definitely be staying at Tudor Lodge. 」

「Overall, I’d say this was an excellent place to stay! It’s a safe neighborhood, and the staff were very kind, accommodating, and informative when I had some last minute luggage issues. The room itself was perfect for what I needed, and the breakfast was delicious. My only concern was that I could not manage to get the hot water to work both in my sink and the shower, but I assume that was a fluke. All in all, I’d still recommend it for any traveler (especially solo travelers).」
