The rooms are minimal. Not even options for USB charging let alone a microwave or tv. The rustic charm is fine, but then we were stuck listening to both neighbors do what people do in romantic hotels, loudly. Walls seem paper thin in a long cabin exterior. The space was nice but bathroom was "quirky" small in not a good way. The state was nice, helpful even. The restaurant options are ridiculous as are the breakfast choices. Nothing is simple or easy. The grounds are very well kept. Parking was convenient and available. Rooms access is easy too.

The view over the small lagoon was great, the bed comfortable and I appreciated the drip coffee set up. Staff was friendly. We did not go to the property restaurant or the espresso store. I would have really liked to have a microwave and small fridge for any leftovers.

Overall a positive experience, the staff was great, the grounds are beautiful. I do not feel like the room was worth the value paid. I stayed in the main lodge and you can hear everything around you. You can clearly hear conversations next door, outside, and below.

Beautiful property and location. All of the jet noise was a bit unexpected. Interesting side note, it’s cheaper to reserve a room on-line than it is in person. We reserved a room while we were in line.

The Captain Whidbey Inn is delightful and an experience in itself. Great for kids - there’s a play area, easy access to the water and plenty of space to explore. The restaurant was delicious. We are so glad we choose Captain Whidbey for our stay!
