We had wanted to visit Carcassonne for a long time - the area, and the accommodation, were perfect, and we enjoyed interesting conversations with Richard, who also recommended an excellent restaurant ten minutes' walk away. The apartment is very quiet: all we could hear from the terrace in the evening was the river and water birds; but at the same time it is a short walk up to the mediaeval citadel in one direction, and……

“This house is located perfectly in Carcassonne in the city center and close to the fortress. The accomodation is spread over a couple of floors and was relatively cool despite the heat wave (over 40 degrees) in the city, also thanks to the fans provided.Minor drawback: Arriving 15 min after check-in time, the cleaning staff still needed 15 min.
