Deep Creek Serenity Retreat: Heated Pool, Patio, Hot Tub, Sauna, Gym, Game Room
10/10 Excellent
"We had such an incredible and magical time—honestly, it feels like a place we may never experience again. Staying here felt like living in a fairytale, and in the best way possible, it was wonderfully overwhelming because there was so much to enjoy. The property was absolutely beautiful, and you could truly tell how much care, thought, and love the host put into every room and every detail throughout the house. The indoor pool, especially, was stunning and truly unforgettable—it made the experience even more special. This home is extremely family-friendly and impressively spacious. We traveled with kids, and while the house was so large that calling them from room to room was sometimes a challenge, it actually turned into a blessing. It gave the adults rare and much-appreciated moments of quiet and relaxation.Kate was an amazing host. She was incredibly responsive—whenever we had a question, she replied right away—and she guided us so thoughtfully that the entire trip felt smooth, easy, and stress-free. Finding a place like this again would be very difficult, which made the experience feel even more like a dream. Everyone felt comfortable, relaxed, and truly happy throughout our stay.If there was one regret, it was that our 3-night, 4-day stay felt far too short compared to how special this place was. We only wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy it just a little more."
"Clean room , renovated. New mattresses. Staff courteous helpful. Continental breakfast. Love coming every year with family over winter weekend. Close to mountain Wisp, have big safe hill near resort for sledding. Bring your own sleds. Cross country sleeping on property is also a plus, but bring your own skis ."
Wanderlust A Frame - Lake/ Beach/ Golf/ Pool/ Trails in Alpine Lake
10/10 Excellent
"This was one of my more favorite VRBO stays. The house was as advertised - a cozy, well-appointed, pet-friendly place to get away as a family for fires, games, music listening, and hot tubbing. The Alpine Lake Community is great, although we didn't get to experience the pool, beach, lake, or anything because it snowed 5 inches while we were there! I did enjoy the hiking trails, and the community plowed the roads multiple times during the snow. The only issue we had was the hot tub was only at 80 degrees when we arrived (as an energy conservation measure), but I was able to easily and quickly increase the temp overnight so we could use it by the second day. Try the amazing bean bag chair in the loft - it was sooo comfortable! "
"So many little details that were so well thought out , made this experience at your property amazing. Our 9 year old and 18 year old didnt complain once the whole 3 days we were there. Hot tub was amazing, game area was great. We enjoyed the board games and puzzles. Bedrooms were clean and comfy. Access to extra blankets was great too because it was so cold that weekend. We enjoyed every part of our stay and enjoyed just being together and were thankful your place could accommodate that. Thanks for driving so far to fix the frozen pipes that busted so we could still come. Great owners and great communication ! Definitely recommend this property "

"Host was quick to respond to any questions. The interior of the house was really nice-modern, nicely furnished, and clean upon arrival. It was well stocked with everything we needed and more. The owners have thought about almost everything. I would recommend putting a rug or boot tray by the door to help contain the mess of snowy boots in the winter. We were not informed that the community pool is closed due to renovation ahead of our arrival. It wasn’t a huge deal but that would have been nice to know. There were a lot of little extras we didn’t expect such as hand soap, laundry soap, dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, sugar, salt and pepper etc. We brought all of those things but it was nice to have the backups in case we forgot something. Something of note for future renters, the coffee maker is a keurig. Some kcups were provided by the owners but we had planned for ground coffee as the listing stated “coffee maker” but luckily part of our party was still at home upon our arrival and was able to bring kcups. We enjoyed spending New Year’s Eve there with friends. We live only 50 minutes away but it was a nice change of pace. We would love to come back and explore more when the weather is better. We arrived just about an hour or so before dark and were greeted by several deer. That was cool (and a bit unnerving at the same time because they kept coming closer) but we are no strangers to wildlife. I would stay here again. "
"Extremely welcoming host, and we even worked out staying an additional night because we were having such a great time. I’ve stayed at Alpine Lake at several different properties, and this was the first one that provided keys to be able to use the indoor pool. It was the perfect space for our family of 3 and 2 dogs. "
