「If you’re looking for peace and quiet you found it. I sat out on the porch and just looked at the pond. Turned off the cell relaxed and enjoyed the view. The host was very accommodating. The home look just like the pictures and when I arrived the air conditioning was going which was great when your from California and not used to the hot sticky summers in Southern Illinois.」

「We rented this house in 2020 and had a great experience, which is why we returned on August 1, 2026. Unfortunately, the house is not the same.We arrived to find a bed that was broken and propped up with a stack of wood. It leaned so badly it was unusable. I contacted management around 5:00 p.m. and was told someone would come that night. After multiple messages, including one around midnight, no one showed up or even responded. My husband had to sleep on the couch. The next morning they claimed...

「Beautiful log home. The view of the lake couldn’t be better. Be aware that there are many, many steps to the water, but they are not steep. We are over 70 years old and were able to handle them, although we can feel it in our calves today. It was a plus to have the electric hot water pot. My husband likes his coffee in the morning, but I prefer tea. Perfect for us!」

「High quality room, with farm privacy and atmosphere. We would recommend it and stay there again.
Only one thing: The ladder to the loft bedroom is quite steep. My wife struggled a bit with it. But then, she is in her late 60's.
Nevertheless, a good place that we will recommend.
A/C worked well, and was needed. Room very clean. We hardly saw staff, which was fine, as we enjoyed our privacy.」
