The bathroom downstairs meant kids weren't going up and down the stairs to use a bathroom if they were watching movies or playing games. “We loved our stay at Big Pine. We were in town mostly to ski & snowboard at Mt. Bachelor and this was a great base for that & more. The house is beautiful and the views of Bachelor and Crosswater (where we spotted a herd of elk during breakfast one morning) were spectacular. Only minor quibbles: the weather was so warm bikes would have been greatly appreciated to explore Caldera Springs...also the park at Caldera Springs is a bit lame for littles...we went over to Fort Rock Park most days.
