I am surprised that this unit is rented out in the condition it is in. Employees we talked with were helpful which is the one bright spot about this place. There is a random hole in the ceiling in the dining area, locks to rooms and bathrooms do not work, the carpet is atrocious and the unit smells like mold, likely from the carpet. The master room door did not close or even latch until maintenance came the second day of our stay and attempted to change the hardware which resulted in having the doorknob taped on to the door for the remainder of our visit. This place has great potential and is in a great location, but it is clear that it isn't cared for well which is disappointing and not reflective of the quality of VRBOs we have rented in the past.

The listing says there’s a washer/dryer. The confirmation said no washer/dryer. I called, they said there was not. I booked it based on it having one so I complained. They said there was nothing they could do. They said the listing had not listed a washer/dryer for years. I sent the active listing to them to show them it does still say there is one. They did not care. I was ticked but I was stuck, they already had my money. We were there with 3 days of clothes for a 6 day stay. I went and bought three additional days of clothes for us…which cost quite a lot. When I arrived there was a washer dryer in the unit. Something needs to be done organizationally. I have spent money I did not need to spend for clothes I did not need and had stress that was not even needed. You also said there was a hot tub on the booking and then after booking you sent a message saying the hot tub was not available…so we did not bring our swimsuits. When we arrived there were people in the hot tub because it was, indeed open and running perfectly fine. So, yikes! As far as the rest of it goes…the can opener does not work, the pans are all scraped up, the bathroom sink stopper does not work, the washer randomly stops working and needs to be completely re-run, the living room has no light, the dishes were dirty. The only thing I can say nice is that the beds were in ok shape, it is in a good location and the dining room table was nice.

The condo was in a fantastic location to walk to the ski lifts! Overall, it was very clean and a great size, but it needs some updating, especially the kitchen items. If you plan to cook your own meals like we did, bring anything that isn’t super common. We only found two mixing bowls, one baking sheet, and one baking pan. We made due, but I was wishing there was a pitcher, a colander, oven mitts and hot pads, a smaller baking pan for brownies, and better cooking utensils and knives. Lighting for evening activities could also use some updating. The master bedroom only had one bedside lamp and the living room has only one small lamp. If you want to read after dark, you’ll need to bring a headlamp. And bring a sound machine for littles to help with sleep because the walls are thin. We heard the people above and below us late into each night. Finally, be careful stepping into the master bathroom shower. The tub is significantly slanted toward the back wall. It’s still very functional, but it freaked us out the first couple days when we weren’t expecting it. Overall, this place was really great, especially for the price and location, but it could use some love. The heat was great, the beds were very comfortable, there is a card table for games and puzzles, the community hot tub is a wonderful bonus, and the view is absolutely fantastic! If they add some lighting fixtures, we would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay. The location is convenient for walking to the base area and accessing Gothic Road. We cooked several meals in the kitchen and used the WIFI access everyday. The only problem was initial entrance into the condo as it was difficult to open the key lock box.

Snowboarding trip

We were generally happy with the condo due to its close proximity to the ski resort. We were not notified that the washer/dryer units were out of service in the condo we paid for, so we were not able to wash any clothing after snowboarding all day. This was a big negative. Some kitchen dishes etc need updates. Otherwise it was a decent stay.

This condo was above expectations! It was large, comfortable, had all accommodations needed, and was a 6 minute walk to the ski lifts! Also, this was one of the least expensive options in CB resort area. The hot tub was amazing as well. I would stay here again and recommend others to stay here as well! Thank you

BLACK MOLD!!!

If only VRBO let you upload photos. Black mold all over tub in primary bathroom. Black mold and ceiling coming down in guest shower. Blood stained comforter. Broken privacy blinds in living room. Location was great though.Local property manager was extremely difficult to get a hold of and Vacasa was not able to do anything to expedite communication, or circumvent the local pm. If you haven't suffered the Vacasa experience yet, don't start now. If nothing goes wrong it's fine, but as soon as there is a hiccup, good luck. I'm sure we'll get some canned "Sorry for your poor experience" reply here. Save it, and just let the people know if you got rid of the mold and blood instead.

Close to the mountain but outdated

Overall the place was clean but outdated. The mattress in the master bedroom was adequate but could be replaced. The couch in the living room is worn and needs replaced. You're on the second floor so you have to walk up stairs but only one flight. Had some difficulty trying to figure out how to work the key lock but eventually figured it out. I tried to contact management about the key lock but one of the laminated contact sheets in the apartment wasn't even for the right company. Management needs to change the sign inside that says checkout is at 11am when it's really at 10am. Would like to have known the correct number for management because it wasn't in my email and wasn't listed in the apartment. If there was a serious issue I'm not sure how we would have found the right contact information for someone who could help. I only got a text the morning of checkout for me to let them know when I had checked out. Overall not a bad place to stay given that it was about .5 miles from the lifts so you could walk there in ski boots if needed. However needs some attention from management.

Condon wasn't cleaned and amenities missing

We stayed in the unit over New Years. We have been coming to CB for over 5 years. Upon arrival, we noticed that the unit's bathrooms had not been cleaned (streaks in the toilet, used products in the shower). The sofa was stained in multiple places and the rugs needed to be cleaned. The dryer that was in the listing was broken. The fireplace that was also mentioned was not to be used. I contacted Vacasa and spent the next 24 hours waiting for someone to come and clean the condo. A full day wasted! I was told I would receive compensation but it was barely adequate for the hassle we had to put up with while we were there. I have stayed in this complex before and it is a great location. Unfortunately, our experience in this unit and with Vacasa would deter me from renting it again.

Great views but some flaws

The views from the property are amazing - a very nice deck. I stayed here for several weeks, so I saw different renters come and go. Some more quiet than others, but I know that can't be controlled. I agree with a previous review that the carpet in this unit is in dire need of replacement. The poor quality (dirty looking) takes away from the overall look of the unit. The washer only had cold water and the dryer didn't dry (no heat). There was also no laundry detergent. I've stayed in other places in CB over the years and they have always provided the detergent. With new carpet and a functional dryer, I would stay here again.

Very nice spacious condo with beautiful mountain view

We enjoyed our stay very much. The condo is well equipped. We had several issues that should honestly have been resolved before we arrived. We left notes about these for the cleaning staff. Our honest overall impression was actually 3 1/2 stars. If not for the issues mentioned, we would have rated this property 5 stars.

The place was great. But I sent a message via the VRBO website one week in advance to I quit about adjusting our reservation and the didn’t reply until two weeks after the stay. Also, we left something and that was also difficult for communication.

Great mountain views with some issues

This is a nice condo with terrific mountain views. There was plenty of space, the beds and furniture were comfortable, and the location in Mt. Crested Butte was great. However, finding it was difficult as the address link in the directions sent by Vacassa (the property manager) was wrong. It took us to a residential area in the town of Crested Butte. The condo is actually in the village of Mt. Crested Butte off Gothic Road. It took a frustrating hour to find the place after a long drive to get there. If you rent this condo, bring your own body wash or bath soap, paper towels, dish cloth or sponge, and cleaning spray. Things like greasy counter tops and someone else's hair on the bathroom mirror don't speak well for the cleaning service.

Don’t stay here!

We spent 20 minutes trying to open the key box of which they had two. Neither located on the door handle as the directions advised. The steps into the unit were very steep. The internet worked very intermittently and the tv was always in buffering mode , unwatchable. The unit was tired and needs refreshing. There was no soap for the shower. It was not at all expected for the price.

Very clean and great location.

The condo was exactly as we expected it. It was very clean and quiet. The location was great. It was just over a five minute walk to the base area and little to no traffic in the road. It was well lit and the kitchen was set up well. The views out the windows are a great way to start and end your days in CB. If you want to head down into town, leave your car and walk a few minutes to the free buses at Mountaineer Square. There was only 2 of us, but there is plenty of room for 4-5 people. We love Crested Butte and will be back soon.
