“I loved that this property (one of the oldest buildings in Callander) is run by a youth co-op helping locals. What a fantastic initiative. But what this means is that you don't have access to anyone during your stay. The email before arrival was easy - building and room access info. Our only suggestions are PLEASE fix the extraction system in the kitchen. The entire downstairs stinks. Please provide paper towel in the kitchen and please add parking info (around the back) to arrival info.……

“We stayed 4 nights in a private room. Overall, the hostel is spacious, clean, comfortable, and friendly. However, we did find the room really hot without much airflow. My only other complaint is that two nights we experienced issues with drunk adults. One of the adults was working the desk a few days later, which is not appropriate. These disturbances were not handled by the staff, which was unfortunate, as it disturbed the evening for all guests. ”

“Highly recommend. Great room with comfy bed and shower was hot! Very friendly staff, on site restaurant did some really great Scottish beef and mash. All in all a great place to stay.”

Plenty to do in the area. I would recommend. Some updating perhaps on bathrooms. But still doable. We will visit again ”
