New Dock, Sailors Valentine Beach House, and Hot Tub!
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful, clean home with everything you would need for a Maine vacation. The new dock is amazing and a lovely place to hang out with a book on a sunny day. The kitchen is stocked with every appliance and utensil you might need. We have stayed in this home multiple years and have always had a lovely visit."
Tranquil waterfront near Rockland, July week on sale!
8/10 Good
"This is a beautiful house on a tidal river near South Thomaston. We enjoyed the spacious, well-equipped kitchen, big dining table, and comfortable bedrooms. We launched our boats from the floating dock in front of the house. We had to be mindful of the tidal level to paddle, as it was a mud flat at low tide. We also had wonderful biking trips on the quiet roads in the area. A bike trip over to Clark Island to swim in the quarry was a highlight. Also visited Ash Point and Owl's Head by bike. There was a big deck to sit out on. A big rhododendron blocks the view of the ocean from the deck, but there are great views from all the rooms. The sunset is stunning. The upstairs suite has a beautiful sitting area and fabulous views.Overall, it was a roomy, comfortable house for our group of six."
Mid-coast Dream- Beautiful Oceanfront home with spectacular views!
10/10 Excellent
"We LOVED staying at this property! Our family of 4, 2 adults 2 kids (7&10) had everything we could possibly need here. This home was very clearly someone's well loved and well cared for home and still holds the touches of life lived in it. When you see that, you can't help but want to preserve and protect the home with that same love. So, omg, please use the coasters.I always appreciate a rental that has the little things that you don't want to buy a ton of on vacation (i.e. Tupperware or one piece of foil or even stain remover.) and this home has all of those little bits and bobbles which made our stay stress free and convenient. The kitchen was fully stocked and had anything you could need. The downstairs playroom was great for the kids with lots of games and puzzles and a great drafting table for them to color at. The style of the house is super cool. So open and breathable for a cozy Maine property. The water view is wonderful and access to the little beach is easy. The kids had a great time just playing on the property making fairy gardens and looking for sea glass. It's super close to town, so the general store and Wharfside coffee (a must!) are walkable. We stayed for 2 weeks, and during that time encountered some bugs in the house (ants and spiders in the bathrooms and bedrooms) but I find this to be a standard part of life in a coastal wooded area and would not consider it an unreasonable amount. Stephanie was easy to get ahold of and easy to communicate with."
East Wind Inn on the Water
10/10 Excellent
"The inn is located on a true working harbor. Many boats were in the harbor and it was breathtaking to view them from the inn’s porch. The food was delicious!"
The Craignair Inn & Restaurant
8/10 Good
"We love the Craignair and this was our second visit. The staff are all wonderful and so accommodating. Our arrival was a bit rough because there was private event taking place, so we had to wait until the bartender found someone to check us in and then it felt a bit like we weren't supposed to be in the common areas until the event concluded. No big deal, but we might have planned differently had we known ahead of time that this was the case. Wait staff were a bit loud one night after dinner service, but quieted down when we asked. Still, I am impressed at how relaxed and homey the place feels even in high summer when tourists are everywhere. We had previously stayed in November and kind of had it to ourselves, so we were definitely spoiled by that experience, but were amazed at how peaceful it was even during the busy season. Loved hiking Craig Island and watching the birds and the waves every morning and evening from our balcony or the dining area. This place is truly a gem."
Cove Cottage: Quietly Nestled Between The Pines Of Tranquil Seavey Cove
8/10 Good
"Cove cottage had all your needs to accommodate us. It was peaceful and sunrise and sunsets beautiful! Our dog loved the space to run and swim! We didn’t realize to swim we would need some form of floating device. It was still great to get away! Easy to find with the directions provided and the cabin was cozy and inviting!"
Breathtaking views, total relaxation, do as much or as little as you choose
