Welcome to the completely remodeled “Catch of the Bay” cottage! You will enjoy calling this beachy yet rustic location with a farmhouse theme your home during your stay. The home offers three bedrooms and one bathroom – one with a king bed, one with a queen bed and a third with single bunk beds. There is also a pull out couch if that more so meets your needs. The home offers a remodeled and fully stocked kitchen, laundry area/mudroom on the inside as well as a spacious back yard, fire pit, front and rear porch on the outside. You can cook your catch on the gas grill or eat your freshly caught crabs on the picnic table on the rear deck.
The home is located close to grocery shopping and the local restaurants. Local amenities include Jane’s Island State Park, a small local beach, Gallery 413 (our local art gallery), as well as a public boat ramp for launching your boat for fishing and crabbing.
Crisfield is a quaint small town that offers a low-key lifestyle but plenty of things to do if you want to find something to occupy your time. During your stay you will enjoy the privacy of your own yard, yet the amenities of being close to town. The town has a pristine and modern local library, and holds scheduled live music concerts at the City dock, which is the same dock that hosts beautiful sunsets.
Somers Cove Marina offers transient boat slips if you want to leave your boat in the water while you are in town and park your boat trailer right at the house. They also offer an on-site fish cleaning station, bath houses, a pool and a host of their own amenities.
You can book day trips to Smith and Tangier Islands to take you back in time to a more simple lifestyle. The community is full of events to keep you busy. Day trips to Chincoteague and Assateague Islands to see the infamous wild ponies are also a fun treat!
The town holds several events throughout the year, which include but are not limited to the Freedom Fest during 4th of July weekend, the Hard Crab Derby and boat docking (which includes a carnival) during Labor Day weekend, fishing tournaments, the J. Millard Tawes Crab & Clam bake and a Summer car show/cruise in. These are just to name a few!!
