"The staff was very professional and very helpful. The rooms were OK. They were not the cleanest, the beds were made, and the showers definitely needed some TLC and a good scrub down. The lobby area was OK. The design and set up was nice. However, the furniture was made of cloth and you could see stains that a good shampoo of the upholstered furniture would have made a better impression when First checking in. The leather furniture could have used a good scrub down as well. Although the staff was helpful and very professional, the establishment could use a little more care in their facility. If you’re paying about four to $500 for a room for a weekend times however many hotel rooms are booked. Use some of the money to really update and clean your establishment and I feel like taking a little pride in what you have and take really good care of it will go a long way with your guests and potential guests. Thank you."

"We stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Oceanfront Virginia Beach for a quick birthday getaway and had such a great experience! From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome (and those signature cookies!) set the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The location is perfect—right on the oceanfront and just steps from the boardwalk, which made it easy to walk to restaurants and enjoy the beach without any hassle. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful ocean view that made the trip feel extra special. The staff was friendly, helpful, and made everything seamless from check-in to check-out. We really appreciated how easy and stress-free the entire experience was, especially for a short getaway. Overall, it was the perfect place to celebrate a birthday—relaxing, convenient, and exactly what we needed. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Virginia Beach!"

"The property was as described, except for the AC not working when we arrived. There was not any advance communication about the air, though the property processed full payment prior to our arrival. We were provided the notice that the air was not working at the end of the check-in process. Additionally, we were advised that the air was fixed later in the evening but the room was still warm throughout the night. The next morning when I notified the front desk that the room was still warm I was advised that maintenance should have been by to reset the thermostat. The front desk staff reset the thermostat following my inquiry. Throughout our stay there were guest complaining about not having air. Communication and response to this matter was not handled properly."
