“We just returned from a 2 day 1 night cruise on the Paradise Grand. It was perfect. We were tendered out to the boat and I wasn’t sure what to expect. We were met with a cool towel and drink and were well taken care of from the point on. Our cruise was through Lan Ha bay which is a bit quieter and I much preferred it. “My wife and I spent 1 night on board of the grand pioneer 2 (February 25, 2026) . Perfect luxury room ( super clean, panoramic view of Ha Long Bay, fantastic food ( brunch with variety choices ) with à la carte menu for supper). Super nice staff. Very reasonable price including all meals with 2 land excursions. Strongly recommend. Pioneers cruise 3 will be launched within the next 18 months. Can’t wait to come back for a 2 nights cruise. Only one downside : February and March weather in Ha long……

“The hotel aims to be a diverse resort, but the actual management appears chaotic and inefficient. Staff lack proper training in service, hygiene, and English proficiency, and the maintenance of hotel facilities is poor. Overall, the hygiene standards of the rooms and restaurant do not reach five-star levels, and the quality does not match the price. Unfortunately, this is currently the only upscale hotel on the island.”
