“This property was clean and the lake was so nice. If you are looking for a little getaway that is simple in design, this fits the bill. If you are interested in watching TV, (we were not that interested) be sure to know how to use a smart TV. Montauk State Park is not that far away if you are interested in trout fishing. There is a beautiful fire pit, so get some firewood. Also, charcoal for the grill and you’re all set:”

“The cabin and the grounds were perfect for our annual family Thanksgiving trip. Hands-down, definitely the best stay we've had so far. The cabin, interesting with it's history, has been beautifully and functionally updated. Cooked dinner and two breakfasts on the outdoor Blackstone griddle (nice touch!). The fire pit and s'mores were wonderful. Plenty of room for everyone. And, the property and river were so unique. What a great place. Super hosts (thanks Donna!).”

“We all had a great time at Sunset Ridge. We were within a 25 min drive of many great activities. We explored caves, did zip lining, river rafting, and ate great food at Route 66 restaurants. Sunset Ridge was centrally located to all those activities and provided a beautiful and relaxing spot to wind down for the day. Sunsets were beautiful, and the property was quiet and peaceful. Great location!!”

“We loved the remote private feel of this property less than 10 minutes to town. Our poodle delighted in romping on 10 acres. We enjoyed great eateries in area towns and the nearby rivers and parks. The cabin is beautifully appointed, everything you need provided. Front porch sitting brought our stress levels down. Comfy couches, good TV and internet speed, restful memory foam mattress. Perfect host. Thanks so much for a great stay!”

“The house was just as described. This was the second time we stayed in one of their homes. The only issue I have, and this prevented me from 5 stars, was we arrived a little after the check in time, and the owners (I am assuming), were there outside and before check out time, they drove by (this was a dead end street). This made us a bit nervous and irritated.”

“This place surpassed our expectations! The home was extremely clean and comfortable. The property was amazing. Sitting on the porch and hearing the water moving in the creek was so very relaxing. The owners were so helpful and we really enjoyed visiting with them when they stopped by to milk their cow. The weather wasn’t ideal but it did not interfere with the experience. Would definitely like to book again.”

“Everything about this property is wonderful. The house more than met our expectations. So much room - so very inviting & very accommodating. Cathy, the owner, was very gracious & kind. We had a lovely bon fire one night, such a huge treat on a chilly night. We had plenty of table space to eat together & play board games on. “We stayed for my friends low-key bachelorette weekend and had a great time. The house so many bathrooms that made getting ready for dinner a breeze and the kitchen and dining room was great for game night. And the house was beautiful! “Although it was rainy, it was still just as peaceful and beautiful. I could live just on that porch and in the great room. We stayed here and took our son to STL to go to work with my brother, after he graduated High School on Saturday. Quick turn around. All in all it was another great stay!”
