Construction Rd in front of Hostal Pension Alemana

If you arrival from Lima, should minimum to change USD 100 to Sol for taxi fare otherwise, you need to wait to SIX O'clock after money exchange shop was opened. Catched a taxi from airport to Hostal from Sol. 40 lowered to Sol. 25 after long negotiation at several airprot counter. Taxi only can arrived to the near plaza area lower of the Hostal as construction job was performed on the upper road. In early morning, garbage tuck and garbages were placed on the road, when you are holding a big luggage, it would be wheeled and crossed to the dirty and smelly musty road. Walked seven to ten minutes can go to the Hostal. It was a hard time on arrival but can use a side stair road down to town after check-in. Hostal is good and valued. Wifi only good at lobby and work-shop area. In-room wifi was not stable. Internet computer speed at workshop is very slow. Room with hair-dryer, heater, good view to garden, breakfast is good as well. Extra DUVET is need for female guest as quiet cold in winter time even heater was switched-on. Sufficient baths, hands, foot towels and changed daily. Shampoo & soaps are provided. Taxi back to airport is Sol. 10. to Perurail Train station is Sol. 10 as well. From Plaza the Armas back to hostal area around 4-5 Sol. but need to walk in this period. of time. If choose this comfort pretty hostel, really consider the road construction and your piece of heavy luggage prior arrival.

I felt at home at this wondeful place. The location is great and generally quiet. Staff is friendly and accomodating. The garden and various sitting areas invite to relax. The breakfast was also vey good. By far the best place I stayed at in Peru so far.

By far the worst hotel we stayed in Peru

Thanks god we only booked this place for one night. Staff there did not speak English except one guy but he wasn't there 24 hours. I was expecting them to help with my luggage but that did not happen. They were not very friendly. We paid for a plus room but it does not have a city view as requested. Beds are small and uncomfortable. Bathroom is small and stuffy. No toiletry items provided. Nice view at the breakfast area in a different building but we did not try the breakfast so cant comment on that. Overall, we did not enjoy our stay there and will not recommend this place. For the same price they charged, we could easily get something a lot better. At least better attitude and hospitality.

The property looks beautiful but the beds are hard as a rock and the pillows are flat. On top of that we would run out of soap or toilet paper and had to ask for it to be replaced instead of it being done when the room was cleaned. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend.

Best place for Cusco

The experience at Alemana was great. They have also kept our bags when we went to machu picchu for 2 days and we found them back in our room. We also used the laundry service which was great! Totally recommend!

Would totally recommend

The 2 nights stept here were the best in South America. We really enjoyed the welcoming staff, the cleanliness and the breakfast. The location of the place is ideal in Cusco as you do not have to go uphill too much. We also used the laundry service from the hotel which was also really good.

Tolles Blick auf Cusco beim Frühstück. Welcomedrink inkl. Toller Flughafen Transfer zu geringem Preis. Nichts für Menschen mit Gehproblemen. Unterkunft liegt am Hang und man muss viele Stufen laufen. Aber es ist es wert.
