The host, Donny, was gracious enough to pick me up at the airport at the Uber rate, and gave me a guided tour of the apartment when we arrived. He also provided an excellent local tour guide contact that I used to book tours to Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain. His communication was very good and was very responsive to a couple of issues that developed with the sink and refrigerator(replaced with a new one). Overall, the apartment was very clean, a well equipped kitchen that I used to cook a few meals, plenty of soap, towels, and toilet paper. There is a pharmacy right across the street and super market a couple of blocks away. Well within walking distance to Plaza de Armas, where you will pass many excellent restaurants, money exchanges, massage parlors (highly recommend-one of the best massages ever), street vendors, and city tour bus hawkers in the square (take the 3 hour city tour. Well worth the money). The area in and around the apartment and throughout the Plaza Armas was very safe and the people very friendly. I enjoyed the city.Cons:The bathroom is outside the apartment in a shared hallway. It was still a private bath but you had to walk out of the apartment into the hallway to use the bathroom or take a shower. Also, the bathroom assigned to me had a slight sewer odor which I pointed out to the host.The bathroom was definitely clean but I think some odor is coming thru the drain. Overall, a very good stay in a great part of town. Would stay again!
