Como crítica constructiva creo que este hotel debería mejorar su servicio a la hora del desayuno y su limpieza en general. Está cerca de todo pero las primeras 3 cuadras no se sienten muy seguras.

Bien ubicado y adecuada relación costo/beneficio

Hotel sencillo con adecuada ubicación, céntrica y muy cercana al centro histórico de la ciudad (a 6 cuadras de la plaza de armas y 3 cuadras del Kori Kancha). El personal muy amable y servicial. Las habitaciones son bastante amplias y limpias aunque el mobiliario es bastante sencillo. El paradero del transporte de Cusco a Ollantaytambo esta a solo 2 cuadras del hotel.

Las instalaciones no tienen mucha diferencia con un buen hostal, cobran en dólares y sugiero tomar evidencia del valor que estás pagando, porque me debitaron del banco una suma diferente a la de la promoción y en dólares.

Close to city Centre and the hotel was very clean.

ok hotel

This hotel was approx. 10-15 minutes walk to the main square. We stayed 2 nights, before and after our Inca tour. The first room was great with a lovely comfortable bed and hot shower. Unfortunately the second morning we stayed the shower was freezing.the receptionist reassured us it would heat up eventually but after 20-30 minutes of running the water still no luck. The reception staff spoke very little English which made it difficult to communicate arrangements. We asked for our luggage to be stored during our trip but got back to find they'd left them in reception unsecured despite having a locked room for luggage. the reception is also unmanned 24 hours and they lock the outdoor gate. We eventually worked out we had to ring the little bell on the gate to be let out at 6am to join our tour. Breakfast seemed disorganised and was limited. However rooms were clean with electric heaters for the cold and staff were friendly.

Enjoyed Cusco Peru

Had a wonderful time in Cusco. Hotel close to the center of town and safe neighborhood to go exploring. Staff very nice and willing to help.

Not a Great Hotel Stay

I just got back from my travels in Cusco where I choose to stay at Tierra Del Sol after staying at another hotel in Cusco close to the main plaza. And after reading great reviews but was very disappointed. When we arrived the staff was very helpful in getting us to our room and even let us check in a little earlier than normal check in time. Once in our first room (mind you we were only staying for one night) there was an awful smell in room that we discovered was coming from the bathroom pipes, and immediately asked to be switched to another room only after much discussion with staff. After settling into the second room which we thought was better than the first we soon found out that was not the case. Once settled in the room we later had another issue with the bathroom smelling of mildew and constantly being damp. Also we experienced loud noise from the street and extreme barking from the dogs in the neighborhood. This hotel is not very close to main plaza but can take a 5min taxi ride for about 5sole

Barely Passable

The hotel claims it is 7 blocks from Plaza de Armas, this is true, but they are seven very long up hill blocks. Overall the staff were just friendly enough, but clearly they were doing me a favor by letting me stay there. The breakfast was nothing to write home about. Overall my stay was ok, but not worth recommending to a friend.

What you see is what you get

Basic Hotel but clean and practical with free WiFi on all floors. Breakfast was always plentiful and decent. Staff were friendly and helpful though we only encountered one with good English. Access for taxi which important when just arriving as carrying a suitcase whilst trying to cope with altitude sickness is not easy. Ten minutes walk to the main square (Plaza de Armas) and shops, restaurants. Local Restaurants which are much cheaper than in the main plazas, Supermarkets and Laundry are all close by.
