"Overall I liked the hotel. It wasn’t a sterile, looks like every other hotel. I liked the unique vibe it had. I do wish it had a fridge. That would have come in handy. I really think it’s disgusting that they charge guest $8 for a bottle of water. I was told if I joined the Marriot/Bonfoy club, they would give me 2 bottles right then. So I did. But that was the only time. Suggest go to Chucks or Walgreens. A couple nights I was fighting the bottom fitted sheet that kept coming off because it was too small. Very annoying. One morning they came by earlier to clean the room but we weren’t ready yet. They never came back that day. We liked the breakfast at the restaurant there and also had drinks and dessert one night. The bartender was awesome. Would I stay there again, maybe not because I like to try new places. Also, I haven’t figured out yet if we have been billed correctly. Expedia says what to see is what you pay. It came out to be more belt taxes. Also I paid a down payment but it doesn’t show up on our bill. Will be looking that"

"Positives: Spacious rooms, with large beds and considerable storage area for clothes, especially compared to typical newer hotels. Breakfast available for a modest fee. Hotel has two bars--one on main floor that offers live music and food; The other on top floor that offers food, drinks, and panoramic city views. Hotel is close to WWII Museum and other attractions. Trolley stop just outside hotel entrance. Negative: Room key made of heavy metal. Heavy to carry around unless you leave it at front desk when going out."

"Super convenient location on streetcar line in a beautiful part of Uptown New Orleans. Rooms were updated and clean. Went to use the pool but it was still a bit too cold. Otherwise a perfect spot for visiting our daughter at Tulane."

"After driving 7 hours we checked in at 2:30 am, elevator was broken. I drug our luggage up to the 3rd floor to find out the room wasn’t even cleaned. Trash piled up, hair in the sink, bed linens in the floor. Called the front desk and they said they didn’t think there were anymore rooms. She finally found us another room. Trash all over the property, people out and about at all hours of the night."

"Great stay. I have been to New Orleans countless times. Have stayed in so many different hotels throughout Quarter and near the casino downtown. Had my favorites where I would continue to go back. Never stayed in Garden District. The hotel requires a taxi/Uber to get to the Quarter (though I'm from NYC and walked it a couple of times). The hotel was in great condition. Well maintained. Lobby is really nice. They have a great bar and they food is available by the pool or bar. The pool is a stand out. Loved the whole set up. I don't like that they offer day passes as that intrudes on access for hotel guests; however, I understand why they do it. Rooms are unique. No outside windows in rooms due to set up, but ample lighting. Gym is small but has what you need. Only complaint was housekeeping skipped my room and when I brought it up to front desk (twice) they said they would handle but never did. eventually I was handed towels after 6:00. Didn't happen again but really the only call out I had. Considering how nice the hotel was and how pleasant staff was ... felt it was a big miss to not acknowledge they mess up and then merely hand out towels. Regardless I will definitely return as I loved the whole vibe and set up."
