We finally tried it.

We often travel to Dandong to visit family and normally stay at Wanda Realm because it has a pool. This time, we needed an extra night in Dandong and stayed at the Hilton. Parking was on the street with valet help, which was a little awkward. The lobby was on the 8th floor of the building and the check-in process was fine and English was spoken. We had a corner room with a nice view of North Korea but the room itself was a little small. The hotel breakfast was ordinary. I had left my phone in the bathroom and immediately returned to the hotel and the staff retrieved it quickly. Wife left a special pillow and didn't realize it until a few hours later (after we had checked into the Wanda Realm). We called the Hilton and they had retrieved it and it was in the lost and found room. Since we had given our phone number upon checking in, we were a little disappointed the hotel didn't call us when they found it. The location of the hotel is excellent; very close to the train station and an easy walk to the Yalu River. The Wanda is further away, though located next to a large Wanda Mall.

Probably the best hotel to stay in Dandong overall

Hotel meets expectation for an average Hilton garden inn, exterior is a bit old/outdated, location is great. Dinner buffet is awesome, inexpensive and has a very good selection. Overall, it’s the best of all hotels in Dandong if the cost is within your budget.

단둥역에서 가까워서 좋았습니다. 처음 가는 곳에 늦게 도착하는데 많이 걱정했지만 단둥역 나가면 오른쪽 3시 방향에호텔간판이 잘 보여서 찾기 편했습니다.

Hotel is conveniently located in the city and within easy walking distance to all tourist attractions along the Yalu riverbank. The room in which I stayed was well equipped and clean but room temperature is unbearably warm at 26 degrees Celsius constantly and could not be adjusted. Food and beverage were catered for locals with very limited choice for Western or other foreign visitors. What attracted me to this hotel was the HILTON brand but I would try other more modern hotels run by Chinese companies.

Handy location and clean

Handy to public transport. Occupants in the next room smoked heavily although the hotel has a non-smoking policy. Apparently, the manager attended to my complaint herself and told the offenders to stop and also put an air purifier outside my room which helped.
