“We asked for a late check out and even though the hotel was absolutely empty - (we were the only two people at breakfast in a room that could seat 100) the hotel still denied a late checkout (personally I think 11am checkout is too early) so we were charged an extra £20 for a 12pm checkout. When the room costs £500 per night this is totally outrageous. The hotel was empty so it would have been a nice gesture to offer a 1pm checkout given at most high end hotels 12pm is standard. Very……

“What amazing stay here for New Year’s Eve . It was the cutest place, the enormous gorgeous Christmas had me sold it was amazing and made it extra special all the little extras all the decorations. “I stay here on a regular basis when I travel between Glasgow and the south. The hotel is a grand old building in a beautiful little hamlet off the A1 with lots of history. Due to this and the fact its family owned and not part of a huge chain, it’s a bit worn in places but it’s clean, comfortable and cosy with plenty of charm and quirks.. The staff are lovely, welcoming, very helpful and do their best to make your stay a good one. There’s a spa, a bar and a restaurant, the food is delicious……
