Had a wonderful stay at Alatai. All staff were extremely friendly. It was very convenient to most of what there is to see in Darwin itself. Was great to have a kitchenette to self cater, but the food outlets in Darwin are so good and well priced. Our room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our 6 night stay

Clean but rundown. Generally quiet although there is a bar, Punters Bar, nearby and you can hear their music until about 9pm on Saturday night but the music wasn’t raucous or too loud. Shower was good but shower head is only suitable for somebody under 5’8”. The air conditioner is a little too enthusiastic at its job, only a sheet on the bed but some very old but clean blankets in closet (although they aren’t big enough for the king sized bed). The balcony is tiny with no chairs (and no chairs inside to put out there). Inside has 2 backless stools at a kitchen counter and a very old looking love seat. There is a fridge, microwave and toaster. TV is quite small but does the job (but can only watch it from the bed or 1 of the stools as the other stool faces away and the loveseat is under/beside the TV.

Convenient location. Fair price for the CBD of Darwin. Check in staff were lovely and accommodating. They moved us to a ground floor upon request. Facilities were clean, but well painted if a little dated. Saltwater Pool was clean and lovely for a swim. We would stay again.
